Welcome. In front of me is a Xiaomi Poco X5 and today I will show you how you can apply tempered glass to this phone
0:11
Now I'll be using a different glass, not necessarily designed for this device, but because it fits almost perfectly to it
0:19
it's what I got on hand and that's what I will be using. The process still applies, so
0:25
it shouldn't really change all that much depending on if you have a glass specifically for this device or not
0:32
So yeah, that's what I'm gonna be doing. Anyway, apart from the tempered glass that you
0:37
have in your package, you should also have some wet and dry wipes. Now depending on what company you got it from you might have
0:44
better ones, you might have the same ones, same ones meaning the absolute crappiest ones you can possibly have. These are garbage
0:52
I don't recommend using them. If yours look like this, just toss them out to the trash
0:57
Now if you have something that looks like this, that's great. You can use this, specifically the microfiber cloth right here like this one. These are really nice so you can use those
1:06
I recommend it. These don't recommend it. Just to kind of showcase this
1:11
I'm gonna open up a wet one and the wet one is completely dry
1:18
You can see it leaves no residue on the display. It's also the size of this, it's just hilariously small. So yeah, I don't recommend using them
1:28
Now for this I'll be using my little microfiber cloth right here that I have. If you have one of these I highly recommend using that instead
1:36
It's a really nice way to clean off your display. Now when it comes on to applying your tempered glass, just quickly grab it
1:47
You might have tempered glass that has one sticker like this one with just written 1 or 2
1:54
There might be another one with a number 2. You're always gonna start with number 1. When you peel that off like this, this will reveal a sticky side on
2:03
right here of the glass and you will just then place it like this
2:08
Now when it comes on to placing your tempered glass, I can actually move that out of the way and use this as my
2:15
little place to place the phone. So when it comes on to placing glass, once you peel that off, the way I apply it is by just pinching it from
2:26
both sides like this and then I apply it at an angle. So just kind of showcase this, kind of like this
2:34
So this will allow you to first maneuver it at the top, make sure that it's aligned properly right here on the top bezel. Then
2:42
while you're pinching it, you can also pinch the bezels of the phone
2:46
giving you just a little bit more versatility to kind of move it around. And from there start lowering it down
2:53
with your other hand and with the same logic pinch also the bezels of the phone to find the middle point of it and then
2:59
just drop it. So that would basically be settling down perfectly right now
3:05
Now one thing to also keep in mind if you have a hole-punched camera or some cutout like this
3:09
depending on what one you have, you might want to start off by focusing around that. Just make sure that it is placed symmetrically around the camera
3:17
This also allows you to easily define where the middle point of the display is
3:22
So just make sure that the cutout is in the middle of the camera and that's basically good to go. And then just make sure that it is positioned correctly
3:30
in terms of like bottom side and just drop it. So there we go
3:37
Now I'm gonna just jump straight into applying it after I clean up the display. So just wipe it down
3:43
Out of all the gunk that might be on the glass. Once you clean it off, next thing that you want to worry about is the dust
3:53
So just make sure that there is no dust whatsoever on the display
4:00
And from there jump straight into applying the tempered glass. And there we go
4:15
And we're done. So as you can see, that is how you do it
4:19
