Welcome
0:06
And for the me, the Apple iPad from 2021. So basically their newest one right now
0:14
And today I'll go over unboxing on with an overview of it. So let's just pop it out of here
0:21
No way. So one thing that I praise Apple for doing, because it was one of their latest innovations and the only one
0:29
in the past like half a decade was adding this little thing right to their
0:34
packaging scratch that they didn't add it here apparently this device ain't
0:39
worth it so let me just find my never mind I'm not gonna find it because someone
0:45
took it so I'm just gonna use tweezers as a way to unpack it
0:52
there we go there is my innovation. Tweezers as a nice box opener. So anyway, let's just whip it out of here
1:09
Nothing in the box here. You got the tablet itself. Then we got a nice inclusion of a charger and a cable
1:21
Now that's where things start to fall apart apparently. And now we do have a charger which is a nice actual addition
1:28
Addition, 20 watt charger, still better than nothing. So, props, really nice
1:34
Finally did something good. But that's kind of where it falls apart, because we get a Type C to the lightning or whatever it is called
1:43
a cable. What happened to the Type C? I cannot fathom because this device was literally released the same year
1:53
probably also at the same time, as this little boy right here
1:58
iPad Mini and this thing is actually amazing I am surprised to say this but this thing is just fantastic
2:07
and seeing just the change the slight change and just the cable that it's not type C
2:15
anymore gives me the hippie-jibis right here so anyway just whip it out of the paper
2:28
What the hell is this? No way to this... What? Okay, apparently this was released in September 24th
2:43
And it has the style of an iPad released back in a day, like the first one
2:51
At least we get a fingerprint sensor apparently. So there is a positive
2:57
But boy oh boy does this. this thing look outdated and you can see it here
3:02
Now the camera is located a little bit further away from the tablet itself so it might not
3:07
look as egregious as it does to me but boy oh boy are these bezels huge like if I
3:12
put my hands to it you can probably see how big a device is and how huge those
3:17
bezels are and to put that in perspective this is what I talking about the actual great device which I do like Hello can you unlock
3:29
Apparently not. There we go. So here is an... Let me just move this a little bit to the side
3:41
So this is an iPad Mini. And just to compare these, uh, bezzles
3:48
I mean, at least the sides are fairly similar, but boy, the top and the bottom, both of them, are just enormous
3:58
Which we do have even bezel for around here. Overall, this device is just better
4:03
It has a type C port instead of whatever the heck this is
4:08
So, yeah, that's a little bit of a shame. Move that off the camera
4:15
So anyway, let's get to it. Let's see if I can find anything positive about this device
4:21
I will probably point this out right from the get-go. I do kind of trash Apple for their recent meaning several years of development changes
4:34
and just laziness in doing anything. So I kind of want to make this clear going further just so you know
4:44
Now when it comes down, when they actually make something that is decent, decent, not great, just what I would expect from them, I will say it
4:52
And as an example, the iPad Mini, like I mentioned, which I did in the Boxing today as well
4:57
is a decent device. It's not anything groundbreaking, but it is what you would expect
5:02
It has a fingerprint sensor, it has a Type C port, and it just works good
5:07
It has one of the best processors, so again, that's another thing. Now, this will most certainly come with, in terms of internals
5:15
basically everything the same, but the exterior, is where the problem is here
5:21
So let me connect to Wi-Fi. Now right at the bad, just holding this device kind of makes me feel like it's kind of cheap
5:34
Now I guess the device is a bit cheap, cheaper than probably what you would expect
5:43
And you can see it in almost every way. The build quality feels worse
5:48
The screen, the bezels of it are worse and the ports are worse
5:56
The actual chipset is also worse. It only racking an A13 chipset instead of the A15 which is in something like an iPad Mini or all the iPhones that have come out this year
6:07
So we do have touch ID. Oops, I didn't actually want to do it
6:14
There we go. I'm going to also don't use a passcode. So anyway, let's get into the screen itself
6:25
So this is a 10.2 inch display. It has a typical brightness of 500 nits
6:33
It's a Retna IPS LCD display, so honestly nothing really special here
6:38
It not an outlet It not going to have amazing blacks and stuff like that Let see setup in settings So nothing really special It has a resolution of 1620 by 2160
6:55
Again, nothing really outstanding here, just a typical display. To be honest, for this kind of size, this might be a little bit low
7:03
It is only at 265 pixels per inch, so it is on the lower side, but to be fair, going higher
7:10
going higher might impact the battery life. So, yeah. Now, anyway, going to the screen-to-body ratio
7:19
because of those bezels, we have a 73.8% screen-to-body ratio. So one of the lower ones
7:26
especially our device that was released this year. I would say to that
7:31
you can see that it's running the latest iOS right here, which I guess it's a good thing
7:36
And in terms of the display, there is not much more I can say
7:40
It's literally underwhelming display, especially from Apple. It's just pitiful. That's kind of what I can describe it as
7:50
It doesn't look great in terms of colors and stuff like that, the brightness
7:56
It's just a display. It almost feels like a budget display, to be honest, considering this is an Apple
8:03
It's bad. Now, in general, if you have to compare it to any kind of device
8:08
This device is serviceable, it's not the greatest, it's also not the worst, but if I have to consider the fact that this device costs as much as something like a Samsung Galaxy tab as 6, which has an OLED display, and that's where problems start to appear in my opinion
8:29
This display doesn't compare to something like a Samsung's display. And as an example, again, going back to the iPad Mini
8:38
This comes with also an IPS retina display, but this one is just way better
8:46
It had way more love put into it, probably because it's one of their like more of a flagshipy device
8:52
compared to this one, which is just a budget tablet without being budget
8:58
So, yeah, the display just meh. Now moving on, we have dual cameras right here, or dual meaning one of the front and one at the back
9:07
and this, the front one, is a selfie camera is a 12 megapixel
9:14
while on the back you have a 8 megapixel white sensor, or that's not even white, it's just standard, as they call it
9:21
So, yeah, kind of, I would consider it to be flipped the other way around
9:25
but apparently we have a better camera at the front. So, anyway, cameras at this size, I don't think it really matters
9:34
You're going to be using this probably tablet for video conferencing, and stuff like that so I don't think camera quality here will matter that much
9:46
so now we can move on to the rest of the device the internals of it so we have only
9:54
two versions of it in terms of storage so that's a 64 gigabyte and 256 we do have a
10:00
significant jump from 64 to 250 there is nothing in between and it is also the same as the iPad mini just putting putting out there so it seems like the tablet wise it just the same and what else is
10:17
there to say charger we get a 20 watt I don't actually know what's the actual
10:22
charging speed of this tablet itself fully like full charging speed because this is a
10:27
20-wight charger but it's also possible that this device charges quicker than
10:31
that but we just get this puny charger for it Obviously Apple needs to upsell you on something when they already sell you a crappy device at a bit too over price tag
10:44
And other than that, what else is there? We have obviously, like I mentioned before, the Apple A13 chipset
10:53
I don't actually have any idea what the battery size here is. They just didn't apparently mention it
10:58
So that will be left to whoever wants to disassemble it and figure it out. it out but the device is quite new right now so I assume that might be a couple days before
11:06
you see someone just taking it apart and yeah I don't know what to else say about it
11:15
there's not much specs provided about the device apart from the one that I just told you about
11:19
and at the end of the day honestly this device just seems kind of bad if you're going for the
11:27
size and you don't care about the money you might as well go probably with the
11:31
pro version of it, which pro-i-pad, because it will look way better and it will also have the best
11:39
chipset in there and a lot of improvements that I can't really see here, like build quality as an example
11:47
And if you care about the price and, well, price 2 performance, then honestly I probably recommend
11:54
you to go with the iPad Mini. It is quite small comparing it to like this, almost about half the size of it
12:01
But Boi Boy will just be better. It's obviously it's almost better in every way
12:07
As a top-mounted fingerprint sensor, it has better display in terms of just the quality of it
12:15
Pixel-wise, it's not that much different, but it is a better display, higher density pixels
12:23
Additionally, the overall design is better. It has a magnetic attachment for the S-Pen, which this does not
12:31
I don't even know if this supports an S-a- not S-Pen, what am I saying? The Apple Pencil, that's what I meant
12:38
So this one does support Apple Pencil, although it's basically magnetically attached to almost the entire bezel
12:46
Yeah, overly, this will be better. Faster, better in every way. Recommend this over this
12:52
And the price will be more expensive of this tablet, comparing to this iPad from 2021 but I would say that the upgrade paying a little bit more
13:08
for a just significantly better device is well worth the money and that's basically what I'm
13:14
getting at and that's kind of what I will leave it at so anyway if you found this
