Welcome. And for now, it's the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus. And today, I'll show you how to enable the power saving mode
0:15
Now, this option can be easily found in your notifications panel. So just pull it down and look for the power saving mode right over here
0:22
So we could just tap on it... tap on it like this to turn it on
0:27
As you can see, the max brightness does drop by just a tiny bit
0:33
So it's nothing really significant. So honestly, if you're planning to save your battery
0:38
I would recommend you to drop the brightness really low, if you don't mind it, obviously
0:44
This will give you several hours more battery life overall. So for instance, if you maxed out and you drop it by like half
0:56
let's just say somewhere like around here, it will give you around four to five hours of battery
1:01
which is a significant amount for basically just dropping the max brightness
1:06
Now, additionally, you can do additional steps to improve the battery life
1:11
by, for instance, turning off Bluetooth if you don't need it. Disable it, additional battery life
1:17
Location, if it's enabled, which I don't really see. Oh, there we go. But it is disabled for me
1:22
So location, disable it. Wi-Fi, if you don't need it, disable it
1:26
Sometimes you might not need it. This will save you a little bit of a battery
1:30
And what else is here to actually be, that we can disable
1:39
Well, that's, looks like that's about it that you can disable here for additional battery
1:43
Now, I will mention one more thing. If you're using this specific model, the S7+, it is using an AMOLED display
1:49
So if you go into dark mode, as you can see, it turns on dark mode
1:53
Now, it might look like it didn't do much, but because everything right here that is fully black
2:00
so this screen right here, and even if you go into settings, you can see this area right around here, here
2:06
Anything that is fully black, it's actually not being lit up. Therefore, the actual device doesn't need to waste energy
2:14
lighting up the pixels that are behind here. They're just completely not lit up
2:18
That is because of the actual panel here, which does save additional battery on top of that
2:24
Now, the dark mode battery save is nothing really significant. Maybe an hour max
2:30
So don't expect that your battery life will just jump significantly. You will get way more battery just by dropping the brightness
2:39
So yeah, now going back to the actual power saving mode, that's where you can toggle it on
2:44
And it does one thing when you toggle it on that I know for certain, which is it disables Wi-Fi when the device goes to sleep
2:50
Like this, where the screen is locked and not showing up anything
2:54
This is right now in sleep mode. And basically what it does is it disables that Wi-Fi
3:00
after several minutes of inactivity, which will, because of that, not give you any kind of updates
3:07
that would require internet connection. So if you're using something like Messenger
3:13
which is reliant on Wi-Fi, or anything else, basically Facebook or any kind of internet services
3:21
when your device is in sleep mode, you will not get any kind of notifications
3:26
because they will not be able to reach you till you actually interact with the device
3:30
at which point it will reconnect to Wi-Fi. So just keep that in mind when you're wondering
3:34
why you're not getting any kind of notifications anymore. So let's just disable it and go back to normal mode
3:41
And that being said, this is how you could save up battery on your device. And if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like
