I'll go over unboxing along with an overview of the device. So getting started, a box typical of Samsung

Above we have some paperwork and the semi-ject tool as well per usual

So let's just quickly pop it up and see if there's anything extra but for usual, nothing

extra. So some warranty card, quick start guide and that's about it. So I just

dropped all that to the side. Then we got the device itself. Obviously, set up to

the side for now. And charging cable. It looks like Samsung with the M51 moved

to fully to the USBC to USBC so that means that the charger will also have a USBC

port and that it is. So now unfortunately the charger still keeps that puny a 25 watt

charging speed and honestly I would really like to see a better charger but I'll

also touch on that a little bit further later on and give you basically the numbers

and stuff like that and apart from the charger and the cable we have something that

I haven't seen and budget versions of Samsung for a couple iterations

which is the headphones. Let's see. It looks like the device actually has a headphone jack

so that's a nice thumbs up for that. Now the headphones themselves aren't AKG

as we've seen in plenty of the other Samsung devices. For instance like the S-series or the Node series

they're just a typical Samsung buds and look quite mediocre. They might sound okay

but I wouldn't expect anything super significant out of them I probably won't be blowing your e-drums away

So as you can see that's basically all we get in the box here. So I drop that to this side and then move to the phone itself

Now as you can see the device already has been set up. So this is kind of post setup

That is also so I could check out some features of the device and actually have something to talk about

So obviously you can see probably the biggest part of the device is the display right here

And that's a 6.7 and Super Amelette 1080p by 2400 display. So this thing is fairly nice, actually really nice

And for a mid-range spec device, a little bit of a higher price tag

I really like the display here. It's fairly minimal. of the front of the device itself looks really modern and on par basically with

flagship devices. The only grip that I have right here is a little bit like a

circle around the camera, the black one, so it's not necessarily as minimal as on

folds or the node series where the lens was basically the only thing visible in the

display. So it's like I'm saying basically a little bit, drop here, hole than some other flagship devices have

And apart from that, when it comes onto the screen-to-body ratio, it's an 86.7%, so really

respectable, especially for a mid-range device, with a 393 pixels per inch

And that is just kind of what we are used to now. Nowadays, basically every device that's come out either a flagship or just a mid-range device

come with an 80p resolution and they all kind of come out to have a around 400 pixels per inch

That's just kind of like the standard right now and manufacturers decided to step away from

trying to have the highest resolutions possible. So this is basically the standard at the moment

what I would call it. And then the last thing about the display, the disappointing part, it has

Gorilla Glass 3. So a little bit behind, I assume that it's just so

they could save on costs, even though the device is already a little bit

more pricey for a mid-range device than I would honestly like. So that's a little bit of a shame

and that also means that your device front glass won't be as

durable as it is on other devices nowadays because most of them are using Gorilla Glass 5

even the mid-range devices. So that's basically the display. So now we can move on to the camera section

And as you can see hopefully this cut out here, that's a 32 megapixel white sensor, so I fairly

have the sensor right here. Now unfortunately, even though it has a high pixel count, it's not going to be anything amazing

in terms of video. It only captures a 1080p 30 frames, which is a bit of a shame considering, oh, it's a

smaller sensors did capture at 4K and primarily meaning Samsung. So I think like 20 something megapixel on what was it thing like the S-20s

So the front sensors there were barely nice, honestly. But I just open it up and actually see how the front facing camera works

You can see basically threads, my hair. It doesn't do any kind of like a bouquet effect, as you can see

So the background is basically as sharp as it could be for a background object

The light has a little bit of an orangeish, taint to it, yellowish on the photo

It's not really accurate, but then considering the fact that this is a light that is blasting really bright honestly

in this completely dark environment, the photo has enough detail and quality to it

quality as you can see it's a little bit less detailed it has also a little bit

of grain but like I said the the quality here or the environment that it has to

shoot in it's not necessarily the most feasible environment for any kind of

So we have a main sensor is a 64-wide sensor, then we have a 12-machyxel ultra-white, 5-mepixel

macro, and 5-mepixel depth. Now, I'm also going to mention I'm really happy that they didn't go for the 2-mepixel

counts just to rack up the count of the cameras here, which majority of the mid-range

devices are nowadays doing. So just to stay kind of relevant, they decide to add something like a depth and macro camera

but they're like two megapixels and they're utter garbage. Now here we have more than twice as high megapixel count, so this is a 5 megapixel

It's still not necessarily the greatest. I will show you a comparison of, for instance, the table that I captured photos of in, for instance, macro

And you can decide it for yourself. But it's still way better than the quotation mark effect cameras that manufacture

useless they are considering the main sensors can capture for instance better

you can see Just as a comparison this is basically taking almost the entire screen and I quite far We switch to a normal one and it does take significantly less space So I assume there going to be some image stabilization

I'm just kind of trying to go around and see how much jittering there is. And normal circumstances without any kind of significant image stabilization

So that's a thumbs up. And it does come out respectable, honestly. I wouldn't mind shooting without camera

So it's running on Snapdragon 730G with a 128 built-in storage and you have two variants, either the 6-kigabyte or 8-kabyte RAM

So choose whichever one you want. Honestly, 6 gigabytes I believe should be plenty enough

for a majority of the people. So if you really want it, you can go for the higher spec

but I don't think it's necessary. especially that you don't get any more actual usable storage for yourself

Now it does have the option to be expanded via SD cards, so again that's a super thumbs up for that

This is basically a power bank for some people. and this battery should

in a normal use but with this kind of battery I assume it's going to be a

substantial amount of time now like I said before the sad part is it comes with a 25 watt charger

they call it a fast charging and honestly even though it's 25s and I would really want to see a better one just so the phone can charge faster

They could, for instance, divide that battery into two and charge it at twice that speed

So, for instance, 50 watts. And this would have been already a just huge substantial step up to every other Samsung device

But I assume they're kind of scared of doing it because of the entire Note Fiesta that they had

at one point, where phones were blowing up. So they're basically like one of the last companies that are

using a 25 watt charging apart from maybe Apple. I guess they can't really afford their phones blowing up again

So even though it's using a 25 watt charger, it still can charge the device to 100% in 115 minutes

Now this doesn't seem really that impressive. It's close to two hours

But as a comparison, last device that I did a review of

was the Huawei P40 light 5G and that device had a 4,000 million power battery, 40 watt charger

and well it could charge a device in a single hour to fall right but let's consider the fact that

this is close to twice as much battery and it is charging it basically as fast as the 40 watt

charger so that actually came as a surprise to me in terms of

could have been way faster, and the device should or could charge in a significantly short amount of time

by all means, for the size of this battery, it is charging it really quickly, which was surprising to me

And then apart from that, we can go to the kind of like the minor details of the device

so it comes with an NFC, obviously, like almost every device. GPS, gyroscope, all that stuff

Also has a fingerprint. Unfortunately, I'm not said to say that the fingerprint sensor is not under display

It's a side key right here. So it basically functions as a fingerprint along with the power key

Now the price might be a little bit different considering the prices that I've seen were not really designed for US

It's a kind of a hard pitch right here $350 you can get way better devices for that price

Now at the end of the day it will probably depend on the user. If you're a long time Samsung fan or cherish yourself actually Google services

they're kind of like the specialty. Now, for me, it's lacking a couple things

Number one, a smaller price tag. And number two, a little bit

amazing display by all means but it's just a 60 Hertz now recently I've been

reviewing different phones for instance, well, primarily Chinese. So if you have a problem with, for instance, like the Chinese companies

then probably this phone is for you. But if you want to get a cheaper device with better specs

then probably going for some Chinese brands like Xiaomi, RealMe or stuff like that is a better option

Majority of the mid-range devices nowadays come with a at least 90 hertz display

And this, I'm sad to say, is not the... the case, here you get just a typical 60 Hz and that is one of the key things that I'm looking

for in the device at the moment. And yeah, if you're willing to drop the display quality in terms

of like the refresh rate and just not have that buttery smooth feel to it and have a respectable

device, again mind you a little bit higher price tag than majority of the other mid-range devices

Now, at the end of the day, just to conclude this, it's a really good device

Works well, runs well. The cameras are really decent, honestly, for a mid-range device

They work flawlessly. The device is fast. It has plenty of RAM

It has a huge, and I cannot trust this now. This is an absolute unit of a battery in here

So that is, again, another positive of this device. It has basically everything that you'd expect from a device

And it just sacrifices from a flagship from like the additional features, like I would say

well, I guess I have to for Samsung include the faster refresh rate and the premium shelf

because Samsung kind of reserves that for just the premium devices. And several other things that, for instance, we might not be fun, like care about

for instance like the wireless charging. But apart from that, the device says everything that a normal user could need

and the fact that it runs smoothly and probably will last you several days
