Welcome and follow me say Huawei GX8 and today I will show you how to transfer
0:10
files from one place to another. So as an example I'm just gonna transfer them
0:15
either from the phone or the SD card to the other opposite place. So let's
0:21
actually first capture some photos so I have something to transfer. So you'll
0:33
see I have three photos now. So from here I'm gonna go into the files app so
0:38
let's open that and now let's go into local here and find where the file that
0:46
you wish to transfer is located. Now I believe mine will be on the internal
0:51
storage but I might be wrong and it looks like I am. So it looks like the
0:57
device saves automatically photos to the SD card. So let's just open SD card, DCIM
1:06
and you can see that there they are. So when it comes down to photos and videos
1:11
that have been captured with the device itself they will always be located in
1:15
the DCIM folder like this one and it can be found either on the SD card or on
1:20
the internal storage. Now if you have some other downloaded content for
1:26
instance using web browser or email then that will be located in the downloads
1:30
folder right here and pictures will have sometimes screenshots. Let's see if it
1:36
actually has something. So there it is there are two screenshots. So yeah and
1:42
the rest will have anything that you actually have placed there manually. So
1:47
music, movies, stuff like that you usually place it by yourself in there so
1:52
you should know that it's in there. So let's actually go back to the internal
1:56
or SD card and from here once you find the files that you wish to transfer what
2:03
you need to do is select more. So you either have two options right here
2:19
Works a little bit differently than normal. So to select you have
2:27
to actually choose the option before. So you have the option to copy or cut. Now
2:32
copy will just create additional copy and move it to the new location while
2:36
keeping the old ones where they are. While cut will remove them and move to
2:41
the location of your choice. So choose whichever one you wish. I'm gonna choose
2:44
cut and then you get to select. So from here you can select all the photos or
2:50
files that you wish to move. You can also select all of them by tapping right here
2:56
for all and if you wish you can also select the entire folder. So for instance
3:03
you can see there is a camera folder where all the pictures actually are in there and I can select this to make it a little bit more organized and uniformed
3:12
So once I have selected all I need to do is then cut one and then I want to back
3:19
up to the location that I wish to move it to. So I'm gonna move it from the SD
3:24
card to the internal storage and just to keep it organized I'm gonna go back
3:30
to the DCIM folder just to keep it the same way. I'm gonna paste it right here
3:35
So paste, confirm. The confirm is primarily because there's already a folder of the same name in there and that's why I showed it up but as you can
3:46
see you can replace it and the files are in here now. So and now if we go back to
3:53
the SD card you'll see that there is no more files in here. They've been
3:59
cut out of here. So that is how you transfer files and if you found this
4:05
very helpful don't forget to Like, subscribe and thanks for watching
