Welcome! In front of me is a Poco X3 GT and today I will show you how you can copy your contacts from the SIM card to the device
0:11
So, to get started we're gonna open up our standalone contacts application located in the Google folder
0:18
From here we're gonna navigate to Fix & Manage and Import from SIM
0:23
This will automatically show you all the contacts that are located on your SIM card. By default they will all be selected, but if you want to deselect some of them you can do so by unchecking it
0:32
Additionally, if you see some contacts that are already deselected and also greyed out, don't worry, that's completely fine
0:40
The phone is simply stopping you from importing duplicate contacts. So that's why it's greyed out and you cannot select it
0:47
Now, from there you could normally tap on Import, but before I do so I'm just gonna quickly mention one more thing
0:54
If you are logged into a Google account, which I am not, it will give you an option right below the Import Contacts to swap between the locations where you can import your contacts to
1:05
So if you have only like one Google account signed in, it will give you the option between a phone or device as it's called and your Google account
1:16
So you can choose whichever one you want. And by default I believe it opts into the Google account
1:21
I'm not logged in, so it automatically defaults into the only option that there is, which is the device
1:27
So that's why you don't see anything here. Anyway, I'm gonna select Import
1:31
It then asks me this stupid question if I want to remove the contacts that I have imported from my SIM card
1:38
I highly recommend against that, because having your contacts on the SIM card just gives you a peace of mind that you have a backup copy of your contacts
1:48
And them being there will never get in your way because these contacts don't actually show up in your contacts list as long as you don't want them to
1:56
And by default, that's kind of how it's set. So I'm gonna select Keep, which is the more logical option right here
2:02
And then navigate to Contacts and you can see all the contacts right over here
2:06
Now it is right now, I believe, duplicating them because it's pulling them out from SIM card and Contacts
2:13
So I can just click right here and select Device. And as you can see, this then shows me only the contacts that are on the device, which are the ones that I have imported
2:23
So there we go. And additionally, once you import your contacts, you might need to change where the contacts are being shown from
2:29
So I have Device, SIM card, and obviously, if you have Google Account, that will be shown somewhere right here
2:36
So there we go. Now, if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit Like, Subscribe, and thanks for watching
