Welcome! In front of me is a Oppo A2X and today I will show you how you can import your contacts from your SIM card to the phone

Now to get started you want to find your standalone contacts application. For me it is right over here

Simply tap on it. And this will then display all the contacts that you have on your, in this case I believe it's a Google account

So let's tap on it and yep, so you can see it's a Google account

Additionally we can also display contacts from our SIM card if that is something that we wanted to do

But I'm going to show you how we can import these contacts to be either in your Google account or on a new specific field

So anyway let's go to Fix and Manage and then we're going to select Manage SIM

And this will then allow us to import contacts from our SIM card

Now by default it's trying to import them to the Google account if there is one signed in on this device

And as you can see some of these contacts are greyed out and deselected

That's because the device is detecting that these contacts already exist on the said account

But if for instance I change the location which I can do by tapping on a drop-down and selecting Device

which wasn't previously present in the options, I can now import all the contacts because none of them exist on the device

So from here we're going to click on Import. It will also ask us this stupid question if we want to remove the contacts from our SIM card

I highly recommend against this because these contacts never get in your way and are there as a backup

If something would ever happen to your device and maybe you were storing all your contacts on a phone

this would leave you with a backup copy that is located on your SIM card, which will persist on any other device that you put that SIM card into

So I'm going to be selecting Keep. This will then import all the contacts that I have selected, which was all for me

And when we go back to our Contacts list, we can tap again on this little icon right there

And you can see we now have Device as an option where it's going to be showing the contacts from

So there we go. And you can swap between them. If you have multiple accounts signed in on the device, you can also obviously be able to see them all here
