Welcome, everyone, this is Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite and today I'll show you how to add
0:12
a remote to the device so you can control things like your TV or DVD player, stuff like that
0:18
So, number one, to get started, you want to open up the Mi Remote, which is right over
0:25
in Tools folder, let's agree to it, and this will use the IR sensor that is located right
0:32
at the top of the device, so right over here, and basically every Xiaomi device has this
0:40
So from here, I'm going to tap on Add Remote, and you're going to choose what device you
0:46
want to add. Now, I won't be really adding any device, I don't have anything here to film like that
0:54
so I'll just guide you through this, I have used this before and I know that it works
0:58
and how also it works. So choose your device, I'm going to go for something like a TV as an example, most common
1:07
So here we have all the brands of different TVs, now you can also search for it, so you
1:12
could type in, for instance, Samsung, like so, and now it just asks you if you want to
1:21
add a remote or a TV, and tap the button to make the TV respond
1:25
So right here, basically it's a power key, as you can see it's written right below that
1:31
and what you want to do is tap on it, and it asks you then, does the device turn on
1:36
or off, and if it does nothing, then tap No, if it did turn on or off, depending on what
1:47
state it was before, then choose Yes, and for instance if I choose No, it cycles to
1:53
the next one, and you can see that there's 27 of them, and one of them is bound to work
1:59
so basically at one point you will tap on it, and it will finally power your device
2:03
on or off. So for instance we can select that this one did, even though it didn't do anything, and
2:08
from there it knows basically what remote or device you have, and what remote will work
2:13
for it. And then here, you can choose a name of it, and then you have also a couple quick ones
2:21
that you can tap on, living room, for instance Samsung T, then you have the checkmark for
2:26
the shortcut, this will add a shortcut on your home screen, and then just tap on Pair
2:32
Allow, and here's the remote, and as you can see, it has the majority of the buttons, I
2:38
believe you can also edit and add more, and like I said, it will create that shortcut
2:43
so you can quickly access your remote from your home screen right over here, and it will
2:47
turn it on, and you have things like the power on and off, you have the exit, I think it's
2:54
just a back button in a way, menu, and just all the buttons that you'd normally need on
3:01
a remote control. So that is basically how you'd add a remote control to the device, and if you found this
