Welcome and follow me today Huawei Y6s and today I will show you how to
0:10
transfer files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa. So to get started you
0:16
want to open up the file app right here and then choose either the internal
0:23
sort or the memory card. Now I have to look where my photos are but I think it
0:27
will be on the internal and yep there it is. So if you're looking for photos and
0:32
videos that you have captured with the device that will be always located under the DCIM folder. So as you can see right here there's a camera and I have
0:40
pictures right here. Now if you're looking for screenshots they can be
0:44
found in the pictures folder. Then downloads will have anything that have
0:49
downloaded like using Chrome or email stuff like that. So all the things that
0:56
have downloaded from there will be located in your downloads folder here. And then music, movies, stuff like that are usually containing files that you
1:06
have placed there yourself so probably you know that they're there. Okay so to
1:12
get started let's open up files that I wish to transfer which like I said it's
1:16
gonna be these photos right here and you can do it in a couple ways. You can either select each file individually by holding it so as you can see I will
1:25
start holding it and appears with the blue checkmark after a couple seconds
1:29
and you can tap on additional ones to add them as well. You can also tap on
1:34
select all right here or deselect all or if you want you can always select the
1:41
entire folder itself like so. So once you selected everything that you wanted you
1:48
have two options right here copy or move. Now each one of them does a little
1:51
something a little bit different. Copy will create additional copy of the files
1:55
that you're trying to move so if I chose copy and move the files to the SD card
2:02
they'll remain here and additional set of them will be created in the SD card
2:06
And if I choose move they will be completely removed out of the internal
2:10
storage of the device and moved to the SD card. So choose accordingly of what
2:15
you want to do. Now I'm gonna choose move and then you have to select the folder
2:21
that you wish to move them to. So you want to navigate back so go back back
2:26
and you should see the two different places you can go. So like I said I'm
2:32
gonna move them to memory card considering this is on SD card or on the internal storage. So let's go memory card and from here I can either drop the
2:40
camera folder right here by tapping on move or I can create another folder to
2:45
keep it organized so I could name it as well DCIM. I am like so confirm you can
2:52
see that there is now folder without anything in there. Let's go into it and
2:56
now I can move it into here and now all the photos are right here and I am on
3:04
the memory card as you can see right here and if I go back to the phone
3:10
storage you can see that there's nothing here anymore. So this process
3:15
works for any kind of other file it's not only like folders and pictures but
3:20
it basically is the same exact process so yeah and if you found this video
