Welcome! In front of me is a Honor 7a and today I'll show you how to transfer photos
0:10
videos or any kind of other file from the phone to SD card or vice versa
0:16
So to get started you want to open up the files app right here. Stop on that and then you want
0:22
to go into local and choose wherever your files are located. So for me I believe I will have a
0:29
couple photos that I want to move as an example and I think they're located on the internal
0:34
storage. Just check it really quickly. Looks like I was wrong. So in this case they will be on the
0:41
SD card and there they are. So just a brief overview. Any kind of photo or video that
0:47
I have captured with the device will be located under the DCIM folder and judging by how it's
0:53
saved it looks like whenever you have a SD card in the device it will automatically save to that
0:59
card and if you don't have it it will save on to the device itself. So my photos are right here and
1:08
any kind of downloaded content, so documents, also pictures, music, stuff like that that
1:13
have downloaded on the device will be located under the downloads folder which actually doesn't
1:18
exist right here so it will be on the internal. There it is. There's nothing here although I
1:24
haven't downloaded anything that's why it's empty and you can also have in pictures you'll have
1:31
screenshots as you can see right here. So that'll basically sum it up. Anything else like movies
1:37
music, anything else would be placed there individually so if you place it there you
1:44
probably know where the file that you're looking for is. So going back to the SD card
1:51
once you find the content that you wish to move, which for me are the three photos, you can hold
1:55
it to select it like so and then tap on additional ones to add the check mark to them and then you
2:02
can either copy or remove. Now if you have an entire folder full of photos that you wish to
2:07
move you don't actually have to select all of them. You can either tap on here to select all
2:13
or you can also move the entire folder itself. So if I go back you can see that this is the camera
2:18
folder with the three files which are the three photos and I can just select it the same way I
2:24
would select the file by holding it till it vibrates and the check mark appears and from
2:30
here all I need to do is choose what I want to do either copy or move it. Now this is personal
2:35
preference what you want to do copy will just create additional copy of those files so there
2:40
will be two sets of them while move will remove it from where it is right now and move it to your
2:46
designated location. So for this I'm just gonna use the move option so once you tap on it you
2:53
have the three option up here cancel, move or new folder. So what you want to do now is navigate to
2:59
where you want to move it. So I'm gonna go to the phone storage right here and just keep it
3:05
organized. I'm also gonna put it in the DCIM folder so you can see that there is already
3:10
same folder called camera but it's empty. So what I can do is just paste it right here
3:17
and it will tell me to either merge it or keep it. Keep will basically keep both of them and I guess
3:23
I will probably add like a one number to it or something like that but I can just merge it
3:29
It doesn't really matter considering there's nothing really that will happen when you merge it just combines both of those
3:40
So as you can see now the three folders are along with the cache folder right here
3:45
and everything has been moved. So that is how you would move files and you would do it the
3:51
same way for anything else so music documents works the same way hold still it's selected and
3:57
move it to where you want and yeah if you found this very helpful
