hard reset the device through the recovery mode. Now this process will also

remove a screen lock if you have one that you don't know the pattern to. As you

can see I have one set and I'm gonna proceed from here as though I don't know it. And number one you want to hold power key and then select power off. Once the

device shuts off you want to hold power and a volume down. Both of the keys at

the same time. And from here using volume keys as you can see based on the arrows

you want to select recovery mode and then confirm it with power key. This

will then bring you to the Android with no command. There we go. So to get past this

simply hold power key and press a volume up once. Like so. And you should be in

recovery mode. Now again using volume keys you want to select wipe data factory

reset. And from here confirm it with power key. And again select factory data

reset. Power key to confirm that. It will begin as you can see on the bottom

formatting data. And then last thing we should see is data wipe complete. And then reboot system now will be selected by default. So all you need to do is press
