Welcome. In front of me is a Xiaomi Redmi A1 and today I'll show you
0:05
how you can copy your contacts from the SIM card to the phone. So to get started you want to open up your standalone contacts application which is
0:16
located by default under the Google folder right over here. I'm not going to be signing in so I will select skip
0:25
And once you have your contacts visible you can select fix and manage and in here import from SIM
0:36
Give it a second. Come on. There we go. So that took a little bit of time to actually load those contacts
0:53
So as you can see these are all the contacts that I have on my SIM card. By default they will all be
0:57
selected as long as they aren't already on my phone but I didn't have any contacts as you've
1:03
seen so I'll select it. From here I can deselect some of them by just unchecking them and from
1:08
there all I need to do is select import. It asks me a stupid question if I want to keep or
1:14
remove these contacts. I would strongly recommend keeping them because it's not like they're being
1:21
displayed in your contacts right here from the SIM card so it's not really changing it right
1:29
And if for some reason you need to reset your phone maybe you lose your phone or well technically
1:37
if you lose your phone you lose your SIM card but maybe your phone breaks right. You wouldn't be able
1:41
to back up your contacts as does this would leave you with all the contacts that are on a SIM card
1:46
still. If you remove them and your phone breaks you're kind of bummed. So anyway as you can see
1:52
there are all the contacts. For me also I didn't have any kind of question if I want to import
1:57
those contacts to my phone or somewhere else but normally if you are logged into your Google account
2:02
that would show up as an option. When selecting import you could just like right at the top let
2:06
me just quickly show it again. Import from SIM card you would see like I believe right here option to
2:12
import it to your device or as an example Google account. And later on once you import them you
2:19
would click right over here where the phone icon is and this will then allow you to switch between
2:23
device and your account. And obviously all the contacts that have been imported to your Google
2:28
account will be stored on the cloud so any kind of device that is logged into the same account
2:34
will also be sharing the same contacts. But with this being said this would conclude

this video and if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe and thanks for watching
