Here I have OnePlus A 5010 and let me show you how to add a screen lock on the following device
0:13
So at the very beginning, let's unlock our screen. There is no pin code, no password, just simple swipe
0:20
Then open the list of all applications, select the settings, find and pick security and lock
0:26
screen and then under device security you will find screen lock. Just select it and it's time to pick the way that you would like to unlock your screen
0:37
so it can be pattern, it can be pin code, it can be password or obviously none of them
0:43
So for example, let me pick the pattern. Now you have to draw the unlock pattern, for example this one
0:50
Tap on next, draw it one more time to confirm it. So I'm drawing it again and finally tap on confirm
1:01
Here you have to decide which notification would you like to see once your device is locked
1:06
So you can pick either show all notification content, hide sensitive content or don't show
1:12
notifications at all. So let me pick maybe the middle one, hide sensitive content and then tap on done
1:20
And as you can notice, now your device has a lock screen so only you or people that know
1:29
this lock screen will be able to unlock your device. If you would like to change it to pin code or the password, just go to the settings one
1:37
more time and pick lock screen, screen lock, draw your pattern to enable this function
1:46
And now you can change it. So you can pick for example pin code, enter the one that you would like to have
1:52
You just have to be aware that your pin code must have at least four characters
1:59
Tap on next, re-enter your code. And that's it. Now your OnePlus is protected with pin code
2:10
So as you can see, you have to enter this pin code to enable your device
2:15
And tap on OK. If you would like to remove the lock screen, just open the settings one more time, go to
2:24
the security and lock screen, select screen lock, enter the one that you currently have
2:30
tap on next and here just select none on swipe. So maybe let me pick swipe and confirm that you would like to remove device protection
2:40
Yes, remove. And that's it. As you can see, now you can simply enable it by swiping
