Welcome, I'm from Amazon Nokia G21 and today I'll show you how you can go through the setup
0:15
of this phone. So when you boot it up for the first time you should be presented with the welcoming screen
0:21
Now for me it is in Polish so I'm gonna quickly change the language to something different
0:26
like English. There we go. And once you find your desired language you can then select Let's Go, which will go to
0:33
the next page. This page only looks for SIM card. Now because I don't have any SIM card inserted it lets me know that there isn't one
0:41
So I can skip this or pop in a card and proceed
0:45
The reason we had the SIM card page right there is because we have an option to connect
0:52
either to mobile network through a SIM card or to connect to Wi-Fi, obviously through Wi-Fi
0:59
And the two options are right at the start just so once you connect you can then later
1:05
on connect to your Google account and also restore your device if you have a backup on
1:10
your Google account. Now if you choose to skip both of those, the SIM card insertion and also Wi-Fi, you will
1:17
not have the Google page for logging in show up throughout the setup process and additionally
1:23
a date and time will also not be set automatically. So if you want you can connect to it, if you don't you can set it up offline as I am right now
1:35
Now as you can see there is our date and time which I mentioned will not be set automatically
1:40
It does set up a correct time zone though the time is incorrect so you can fix it up
1:45
if it is incorrect for you but if you're planning to connect to network later on you
1:49
can keep this as it is disregarding it being completely incorrect because once you connect
1:55
to Wi-Fi it will automatically fix the time to correct one. Now moving on to the next page, we have some Google services
2:04
So we have things like location which allows the device to use your GPS location for apps
2:11
like Google Maps so the app actually can give you a correct route to your destination
2:16
or location on the map. Then allows scanning, allows the device to look for signals like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
2:21
and send user and diagnostic data, allows Google to basically gather data on you and
2:25
send it to themselves which is a little bit creepy so I'm going to disable that
2:32
Moving on to the next page we have the option to set up a fingerprint
2:35
Now if you're planning to set up actually a fingerprint you are also going to be forced
2:39
to set up a PIN pattern or password. The reason for that is if something would happen to your finger, if you for instance
2:45
cut it, you would lose access to your phone. So thus you can then unlock it using PIN pattern or password
2:53
And if you don't feel like protecting your phone you can select skip
2:57
That also allows you to set up a face unlock. Same thing as fingerprint, you also have to have a PIN pattern or password
3:07
And once you skip that, it then tries one last time to let you know, hey how about you
3:12
set up a PIN. Which again I'll select skip anyway. And from here we have continue setup so let's select continue and I believe this is right
3:22
about done. Stay up to date. If you want to get spam I provide your email
3:28
If you don't like spam just select no thanks. You are nearly ready to go
3:34
Let's go. And voila, our phone is now fully set up. So if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
