Welcome! In front of me is an HTC Desire 19 Plus and today I will show you how to
0:10
transfer files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa. And to get started
0:16
you want to open up the files app so it's gonna be in productivity right here
0:20
and it's file manager. Let's tap on allow and here we can either tap on the each
0:28
category to view what we have. Now as you will see I should only have several
0:33
photos and that's what I'm gonna be transferring from one place to another but to do so I actually have to go right here so all files and you have the
0:42
choice between phone storage or SD card. I believe my photos are on the phone so
0:48
that's what I'm gonna look for them and just as a brief overview photos and
0:54
videos captured with the device itself will be always under the DCIM folder as
0:59
you will see right here camera and there are the four photos that I have and
1:05
let's see photos a folder called photos like here will have screenshots as you
1:12
can see right now there is a screenshot so those that's where you can find
1:17
images now downloads will have anything that you have downloaded from the web
1:22
through email or browser and it actually doesn't categorize it you can have
1:28
photos videos whatever it can all be there as long as you have downloaded it
1:32
movies music will usually have stuff that were placed there by the user
1:37
itself so if you did you should know that it's there and yeah that's probably
1:43
primarily it so find whatever it is that you wish to move which for me like I
1:49
said it's gonna be the photos and from here which one I do is select it so you
1:54
select it by just holding it for a moment so just grab one of the files and
1:59
hold your finger on it and it then becomes checked and you can tap on
2:03
additional ones like so to add them so you can move multiple now if you have an
2:08
entire folder full of photos you can either select all as you will see right
2:12
here once so once you select one you'll get the option in a corner select all or
2:18
you can just move the entire folder with all of its content by just doing
2:23
that right here so from here you have the option to copy or cut I want to cut
2:31
is just a different way of saying move and what it will do is just remove it
2:35
from where it is right now and move it to a new location while copy will create
2:39
additional set of the same files in a new location while keeping the old ones where they are right now so choose whichever one you want and from there
2:47
I'm gonna stick with the cut option and once you tap on it it gives you the
2:52
options to move it either to the phone storage which that's where the files are
2:56
right now at or to the SD card so I'm gonna move it to a completely new start
3:01
so SD card right here allow and here you can either place it right here which
3:09
will create a camera folder because it's basically I select the entire folder or
3:13
I can also create a new folder myself I can name it just name it something else
3:20
so you can see and go into it and paste and there it is so you can see that
3:27
there is a camera and it's in the folder that I have created the DCC and if I go
3:34
back to the phone storage you will see that in the DCIM folder where those
3:38
photos originated from there is nothing here anymore so this process also works
3:44
for any kind of file not just folders and images the process is exactly the
3:48
same for anything else but yeah that is how you remove it and if you found this
