Welcome! In front of me is a Motorola Moto G30 and today I'll show you how to
0:12
transfer files from your phone to an SD card or vice versa. And to get started
0:18
you want to open up the files app which for me is right over here. Once you find
0:24
it and open it up, scroll down where you should see your two storages. So internal
0:29
which is the phone storage and then SD card obviously. Well, SD card. Now if you
0:34
don't see any storages right here you want to just I would say tap on it
0:39
three dots but it looks like they're no longer here on Android 11 so I guess it
0:43
must be visible. So I'm gonna go to the internal storage and quickly touch upon
0:49
three different folders so that will be DCIM, Downloads and Pictures folder. Now
0:54
DCIM will contain pictures and videos captured by the phone. Downloads folder
0:59
will contain obviously anything that I have downloaded using the device and then below that we have Pictures folder which will contain screenshots. So
1:08
that's primarily all the most important folders. Majority of the rest of them
1:13
will be just empty assuming you haven't downloaded some kind of app that will use those folders. So yeah. Now I'm gonna go to the DCIM folder. That's where my
1:23
photos are that I want to use as an example. So once you find your files
1:26
what you want to do is select them and you do so by simply holding one. As you can
1:31
see it becomes checked and then you can tap on additional ones to select more
1:36
Now once they are selected tap on it three dots and choose to either move it
1:41
to or copy it to. Option completely up to you. I'm gonna go with move and once you
1:46
select one of the two options you will have this pop-up right here so you can
1:51
select where you want to move the files to. Now right now we are on the internal
1:55
storage and I could move it somewhere else in the internal storage or I can
1:59
just tap on the SD card and move it somewhere completely else. So from here
2:06
we're right now on the SD card so I could navigate into a folder and drop it
2:10
in there or I could just not give two craps about it and click right here to
2:18
move right here and this will just move it straight into the middle of the SD
2:22
card. So let's go back just so I can show you that it has been moved and there we
2:29
go. As you can see they are right at the bottom. So that is how you could move any
2:33
kind of file from the phone to the SD card or vice versa and if you found this
2:38
very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
