Hello, in this video I want to show you how to use all available gestures and motions on your Motorola Edge 40 Pro
0:13
And to do this we'll need to open our settings. Here we can find the gestures, which is a tab dedicated for all screen gestures
0:21
Now let's see how to use them all. First one is a sidebar. If you enable it, you will see the panel on the right of your screen
0:29
your screen so it's right here you probably don't see it because of the screen
0:35
protection but if you pull your finger from the left to the left from the right
0:40
it should call out this sidebar I will try to use it but it's really hard with
0:46
this screen protection okay and now you can see different icons and
0:54
shortcuts right here if you want to add or remove them click on a gear icon
0:58
and adjust it to your liking. Let's go back and move on to another feature
1:04
which is system navigation. Here you can change how you will navigate through your phone
1:08
either gesture in navigations, so you'll hide all three buttons from the bottom
1:12
and now use your finger to navigate through your phone. If you choose three buttons, you will see three buttons on the bottom
1:20
and navigate your phone using them. Next is one-handed mode, and to access it will need to change to
1:29
gesture navigations and here we can enable it now and it works like this so you can
1:39
pick your phone in with one hand and then scroll down notification bar using your one finger
1:46
and it should be pulled from the middle but for some reason it doesn't work
1:59
Okay there this button right here so you can click on that button to see the notification bar as I mentioned And now we can scroll it down using one hand
2:17
Let's disable it for now because it might be annoying. And the next one is put this blade to sleep
2:24
You can enable it and then if you double click in empty space
2:27
it should make your screen dim. And we're going to try it here on the..
2:34
wallpaper on our home screen and as you can see it works fine but keep in mind that you need to
2:39
press on some empty space because if we use icons it doesn't work next is jump to lock screen
2:51
and it works a kind of reverse way from the previous option so let's choose that one and
2:59
lock our phone if we double tap it will wake up our screen instead of
3:04
blocking it. And next is wake display and here you can use gestures to wake your display
3:15
up and tapping the display once or moving the phone. Let's enable them both
3:24
Okay, we can do it. Let's try locking the phone. If we tap once it should wake up
3:31
it puts aOD on for some reason but okay and let's try picking it up
3:43
let's place it again and pick it up for some reason it doesn't work
4:01
AOD so it won't wake you to the block screen it will just show AOD okay that's kind of
4:09
useless let proceed then a three screenshot you can scroll down your three fingers to make a screenshot on your device like that
4:23
Works nice. Now if you draw a line like this, it will split this screen in half
4:37
So we need three buttons for that. This app does not support it
4:46
Let's try it on... Okay, let's try it in this app instead
4:57
This one maybe. Okay, it works fine. But keep in mind that it doesn't work on all apps as you just noticed
5:09
And now let's go for more gestures again. double press power button to open a camera
5:19
if you double press a power key it opens a camera press and hold power key for Google Assistant
5:27
you cannot just play press and hold duration here as well let's hold it for one second and the Google Assistant pops up
5:36
media controls now you can use volume buttons to control any media player
5:42
if you enable it you can press volume down key and press volume down and volume up key
5:53
and hold it for a longer duration to play next or previous track and if you want to
5:59
adjust the volume you will need to hold it like that next is a quick launch you can
6:07
double tap back of your phone to launch any specific function like
6:12
open audio recorder any of this available or open a specific app and in this case let's
6:20
select back to home and try to use it i will tap right here with my finger
6:33
It works fine. Quick capture and if you want to open camera
6:50
camera anytime you can pick up your phone then twist your wrist and it will open a camera
7:00
fast flashlight if you enable it you can perform a chopping motion to enable a flashlight
7:06
it's a bit tricky to do it and yeah let's just try to make it happen but i don't think i'll
7:13
make it work okay it doesn't work I'm not gonna bother with that let's proceed lift to unlock
7:26
and if you enable it you need to set up a lock screen for that and let's
7:35
actually know I want to be setting up the face unlock but if you have your face
7:40
unlock set up you'll be able to unlock your phone phone by just looking at it
7:45
and that basically works as a face unlock so yeah Next is pick up to silence
7:56
If you enable it and receive any calls and during the call is happening, you can pick up your phone and it should mute it
8:04
And the last feature is flip for D&D. If you enable it, you can flip your phone over screen to the surface and it should mute all incoming calls and notifications
8:16
And that's basically all of the gestures and motions you get on this device
8:20
And that's it for this video, hope you like it, please consider subscribing to our channel, leave a like and a comment below
