Welcome, and for a me is a Samsung Galaxy A32, and today I'll show you how to go through the setup process of the phone
0:13
So when you put it up for the first time, you'll be presented with the, well, this welcoming screen right over here
0:18
So, and stop on the button right over here, and from here, select our desired language
0:24
Now, I'm going to stick with English, so let's go, English, stop on next
0:28
Then we have connected mobile network page. So in here you could basically insert your SIM card if you have one
0:35
And if you connect to mobile network if you wanted to. Now, you can do that later on after the setup is complete
0:41
All we need to do is pop out the tray, pop the SIM card in, and everything will work just as it's supposed to
0:47
So I'm going to top on next. And here on the next page, we have a few legal items to review
0:53
So obviously end user license agreement, we do need to agree to that one and the rest is optional
0:58
so I'm just going to leave it not checked. Stop again on the next
1:04
Choose your Wi-Fi network. So this page is optional. I believe if you're setting up the device for the first time
1:12
for some reason that is not the case. So when the device is completely brand new
1:17
you do have to connect to Wi-Fi for some unexplained reason. But if it for instance a second device and you can basically skip it like this Now by skipping Wi you will lose the ability to connect to well log into your Google account at least throughout the setup
1:39
And also, you won't have the option to restore the device from a Google backup
1:45
But all of that can be done later on once the setup is complete, just to the settings
1:51
Now, copy apps and data. I know this is just the Samsung, I believe, version
1:54
so you can set it up as new by tapping, don't copy
1:59
And on the next page we have Google services. So we have services like location, scanning
2:03
and sending user-and-diagnostic data. Now, location is one that is actually, I would say, useful
2:10
In certain cases, like using your phone as a GPS tracker, so you can get an accurate route to your destination using Google Maps
2:18
But then we have scanning or actually going back to the location
2:22
there are also apps that will use your location for literally no reason
2:28
For instance, Xiaomi smart home appliances. So apparently their thermometer, as an example
2:35
when you download the Xiaomi Smart Home app or whatever it's called
2:39
and you, for instance, try to add just the thermometer that they have. Yeah, that thermometer wants your location for some reason, but I digress
2:49
So moving on, we do have also scanning. allows the device to scan for networks things like Wi or Bluetooth devices around and then send user and diagnostic data which basically gathers data on how you use the device and sends it to Google
3:05
Nice. So you can deselect all of those if you actually value your privacy
3:11
and then top on accept and basically still have no privacy, because it's Google
3:16
So next page, protects your phone. We have a couple different ways that we can do it
3:21
Face recognition, fingerprint, and pin pattern, password. Now the first two options will always require for you to set up either pin pattern or
3:31
password, one of those three. But if you want to select one of the three belows, you are not required
3:36
to select this one. So that is so, for instance, if something happens to your face or your fingerprint
3:40
or both, you still have some kind of other way to unlock your device. And also, if you don't
3:48
want to protect it at all, you can top on skip, skip anyway, and not have any kind of protection
3:53
on your phone. Then we have Samsung account. Now, this is kind of trash from Samsung
4:04
That is, I would say, basically a bloatware on here. So if you try to skip it, it gives you this pop-up right here
4:10
like, what you're missing. And it just so... Just so I put that in perspective
4:17
and explain why I consider this to be a complete bloatware and just trash on this phone
4:22
is because we have things like Samsung Cloud Keep in mind this is Android On an Android based phone which means that it has everything that Google has to offer So Samsung Cloud has an alternative that doesn actually require Samsung account
4:38
and it's called Google Cloud who'd have thought. Bigsby, hey Google, Galaxy
4:44
themes and entire Play Store. Find my mobile. Find my device. Samsung Pass
4:52
a simple and secure way to sign in the fingerprint. Oh, right, yeah, Google also has that
4:59
So, not sure why is that even here. Then we have Galaxy Store
5:04
Yeah, in an entire Play Store is still here. And then Secure Folder
5:10
And if Samsung didn't do anything to the file manager here or some kind of app
5:15
then I'm pretty sure the secure folder should be present here as well
5:20
but that is the only thing that might not be actually so yeah a lot of this is just literal bloatware
5:26
so let's skip it anyway and get rid of this because no one
5:30
at least i don't want to use simpson account and we're all set up so let's finish it up and get access to our home screen
5:38
and there we go so this is basically how you could go through the setup of this device
5:46
and if you found this very helpful don't forget to have like subscribe and thank you
