Welcome! In front of me is a Dodgy V20 and today I'll show you how you can enable and set up your portable hotspot
0:11
So to get started you'll want to pull down your notification panel, expand it and locate the hotspot toggle, which for me is right over here
0:20
Now once you locate your toggle, if you're doing this the first time around, which assuming you're watching this video probably are
0:26
you will want to hold this toggle. This will quickly take you to the settings, so from here select Wi-Fi hotspot and
0:34
the reason you want to do this is because in the settings right here you will find the hotspot password
0:41
Now without actually coming in here you would have no way of knowing what the
0:45
password actually is and let's be honest by default this password is just garbage
0:50
It's kind of hard to remember, hard to copy it, so what I actually recommend doing with it is getting rid of it and
0:57
once you do you can then set up your own password that you want
1:01
Now your own password does need to have eight characters in length at minimum
1:07
So as you can see I'm gonna make my very complicated right here and from there you can save it
1:14
And that is actually the only thing that I would recommend changing in here
1:18
Now you do have a couple additional settings right here like turn off automatically, which I do recommend keeping on
1:24
You also have AP band which we have choice between two different ones, though
1:27
I do recommend keeping it by default as it is, assuming you don't know what this is. If you do
1:33
then I guess change it. You probably will know if you can change it or not
1:38
But for everybody else that doesn't really know what this does, it's basically like versions of Wi-Fi or let's call it like something like this
1:47
That's the simplest way of describing it. So the 2.4 is a
1:53
frequency that every phone that supposedly can connect to Wi-Fi can connect to. 5 gigahertz will be faster and more stable connection
2:02
but not every device will be able to connect to it. Because it's a newer technology
2:06
older phones will not be able to connect to it. So that's why I don't recommend changing it if you don't know what this is. Just because the 2.4 will ensure that
2:17
whenever you enable your hotspot, it will work without any kind of hassle
2:22
So anyway, once you set it all up, you can basically leave this settings page and whenever you want to use your hotspot, simply tap on a toggle
2:31
There we go. It is right now turned on, running in a background, so you can connect to your hotspot
2:36
Now once you're done with it, you can either just completely disregard it and not use it and the phone will turn it off
2:41
automatically after like a couple minutes of inactivities. Or you can just go back to the notifications right here, tap on a toggle once more and this will turn it off
2:52
And with that being said, if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
