Welcome! In front of me is the T-Mobile Revol 6 and today I'll show you how you can format your SD card

So to get started let's navigate into the settings. From here select Storage

Scroll down and you will find your SD card. Oh, no, never mind, we do have a drop-down right here

So let's select this drop-down where it says This Device and select SD card

From here we can navigate to Files, which for some reason it still asks us if you want to open it with Files or Files by Google

You can select whichever one you want. Both of them have, I believe, identical ways of going about it

So I'm just going to select Files for this one. From here click on the three dots, navigate to Storage Settings and select Format

This brings up a message, Format this SD card. This SD card needs to be formatted to store apps, files and data

Formatting will erase existing content on this SD card. To avoid losing content, back it up to another SD card or device

So obviously if you keep anything on your card that you'd like to preserve, do make a copy of it somewhere else

Probably the best case would be to your computer. This will allow you to just pick and choose what you want and it will be much simpler and faster

But obviously you can do it to other devices as well if you want to

But once you have backed it up, or maybe you just don't want to back it up, you can then proceed by selecting Format SD card

This will begin a really quick format, so this should be right about done

Yep, there we go. So click on Done and that's it. The card is now ready to be used once more
