Welcome and from me is a Motorola Moto G 5G Plus and today I'll show you how to
0:12
transfer files from your phone to an SD card and vice versa. So let's start off
0:17
by opening up the files app which for me is right over here and from the app you
0:24
can see at the bottom we have the two internal storages so internal storage and SD card. Now if you don't see anything here you want to tap on the three dots and go
0:31
to show storage devices so for me it shows the exact opposite that's because
0:35
it's already showing them. So once you tap on it you will see the storages at
0:39
the bottom. Now let's tap on one of the two. Both of them should have fairly
0:45
similar folder structures as you can see. So just a brief overview of the folders
0:53
and where you can look for stuff. DCIM folder will contain pictures, videos
0:57
captured with the device, downloads folder will have anything that I have downloaded either to your web browser, email, whichever, whatever you download it
1:04
from and get saved here. Then we have pictures which usually contains just
1:09
screenshots and the rest of the folders are primarily empty. So I'm gonna go to
1:17
the DCIM because that's where I believe my photos are and yep that's where they
1:21
are. And now I'm using photos but you can do it with any kind of file it can
1:28
be a document, picture, video, an entire folder. The selecting process is the
1:34
exact same so you hold it it gets selected as you can see and then you can
1:39
tap on additional ones to add more. As you can see I'm using photos but if we
1:44
back out I can simply select the entire folder along with all of its content as
1:49
well. So whichever way you select it it's completely up to you. Once you have it
1:53
selected from there you can tap on three dots and go to move here or move to or
1:59
copy to. And both of the options have a little bit of a different effect. If you
2:06
choose to move the files it will be completely removed them from where they are right now and if you choose to copy it will just create additional set of
2:13
the same files. I'm gonna go with move and once you tap on one of those it will
2:18
bring up the window right here to move to and you have the option to move it to
2:23
internal storage or the SD card. Now the files right now are on the internal
2:27
storage so I could just change where they are located on there or I can just
2:32
move them to a completely new location by tapping the SD card. And from here it
2:36
will open up the SD card and allow me to navigate deeper into the folders
2:40
assuming I want to drop it in certain folders. But I'm just gonna drop it right
2:45
here. So I'm gonna click right here, move here, continue and allow, allow and there
2:53
we go. So as you can see we're now on the internal storage where the files were
2:59
and because I chose to move them there are completely removed from here so we
3:03
will need to go back into the SD card and in here we have the camera folder
3:08
with the photos. So that is how you remove your files and if you found this
3:15
very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
