I'm Phenomia's a Huawei madebook D15, and today I'll show you how to go through the setup of Windows
0:15
So when you boot it up for the first time, you'll see the screen right over here, and all you really need to do is choose basically all the settings that you want
0:24
So starting off, we've got the language. I will stick with English, but obviously you can select any other language from the list
0:29
From there, let's go to the next page. Hi there, I'm Cortana and I'm here to help
0:46
A little sign in here, a touch a Wi-Fi there. No one cares
0:53
There we go. No one really cares about you, Cortana, so let's keep on going without you
0:59
Okay, so now I guess we need to just wait for her to stop finishing, finish talking about however the heck you use this thing
1:13
Yep so there we go So from here select your region
1:23
I'm going to stick with the one that is selected. Go to the next page. Okay, now to finally stop doing whatever it was doing
1:40
so we can now continue to choose our keyboard. layout. So I'm going to stick with the default one and go further
1:49
I want to add a second keyboard. No, I do not, so I'm going to
1:53
select skip, but obviously if you want to add more than one, for instance like
1:57
different keyboards so you can have Russian and just normal English, you would have to add one so you can then later on basically change them
2:06
whenever you need to use one or the other. Then we have connect to
2:10
network. I'm going to try to set it up with that. it so I'm just going to select right here and it looks like I can just continue
2:22
with limited setup so it just gives me a couple things that I need I will need to
2:27
have for internet to have those I gonna skip those and then have yourCO agreement obviously I can read this if you want to It probably not my read So I just going to scroll through it select accepts
2:45
And then you can select the name of the device. So in here you, I believe, need to put something
2:51
Yep. So write it down whatever you want. there we go
3:02
sorry for this wonky kind of set up here because the device
3:07
is basically not set up I can't really do a screen record
3:11
so that's kind of why I'm using the camera here so anyway once you set up the name
3:16
I can then choose a password or just leave it empty if you don't want to set up any kind of password
3:21
and then choose privacy settings for your device so we have obviously pletter out different settings
3:26
so location, find my device, diagnostic data, inking and typing, and so on
3:32
So we can read what these do. If you don't want them, you can turn them off like so
3:36
And from there, just go to the next page. Which lets Cortana help you get things done
3:45
This is, I believe, a setup. So what you will need to do is when you accept it
3:51
it will basically try to train Cortana to your voice So you need to read a bunch of sentences that Windows will provide for you And yeah basically you teach Cortana how you speak each word
4:05
so it can recognize it easier later on. But I'll be just skipping it
4:10
I don't use Cortana. Now it brings up a window for auto update
4:21
Honestly, I don't think it matters what you select here if you continue or don't
4:26
Windows is an absolute piece of work here and it's just going to force you to update anyway
4:32
Even if you like it or not, you always get download in the background without your permission
4:38
And then once it's finished, it just kind of forces you to update. If you're going to prolong it for too long, it's just going to one day decide to
4:46
nah, you're not using a computer today. It's going to first update. Now anyway, once you consent to that because you don't actually have another choice there
4:55
you're presented with the home screen right here. And there we go, that's just set up
4:59
