Welcome! In front of me is a Poco C65 and today I will show you how you can import contacts from your SIM card to the device
0:10
So to get started we want to open up the standalone contacts application, I'll like this one
0:19
In here navigate to fix and manage, but before I do so I am gonna quickly mention that right now you're seeing this contacts are
0:26
being pulled from the Google account which you can choose right here. So if you have multiple Google
0:31
accounts on your device you can swap between them and it will show you contacts specifically from
0:37
that account. Additionally we can also choose that we can display contacts from the SIM card. Now
0:43
these are the only two options that I have visible. Now the reason I'm pointing that out is because that will change once I import contacts. Anyway let's go to fix and manage and then we're going
0:51
to select manage SIM and this displays all the contacts that are located on my SIM card
0:58
Now as you can see most of them are grayed out because most of them already exist on the Google
1:05
account that it is trying to import these contacts to by default. But you can also see that this is
1:10
a drop-down menu so I can tap on it and then select for instance device which automatically
1:16
will allow me to import all of them because there were no contacts on the device itself
1:20
There was no device option visible in the drop-down for you seen SIM card and the Google
1:26
account hence it meant that there was no contacts that's why it wasn't showing it. But now selecting
1:32
it it allows me to import all of them otherwise if some of the contacts already exist in the
1:37
location that you're trying to import them to the phone will just stop you from basically importing
1:42
duplicate contacts. That's why the contacts previously were grayed out. Now here you can
1:47
also deselect contacts that you don't want obviously and once you satisfied with everything
1:51
click on the import button. It will ask us the stupidest question possible which is remove copies
1:57
from SIM. I don't recommend doing that because these contacts on the SIM card basically leave
2:02
you with a copy that you can retrieve if anything would happen to your device or maybe you lose
2:10
access to your Google account whatever the case may be this would basically retain the contacts
2:15
on your SIM card and these contacts sorry never get in your way so you won't be seeing these
2:23
contacts in your list unless you choose to deliberately show contacts from your SIM card
2:29
So anyway I recommend keeping them. This will then display how many contacts have been imported and
2:35
automatically also wants to import them to your Google account because you know Google wants to
2:39
have all the data. Go, screw off and here we can get another keep backup and sync off. Yes keep it
2:49
off that's what I try to do. Now when we go back again the phone is still displaying contacts from
2:57
the Google account so I'm going to click right here on this account icon and you can see now we
3:02
have a device option and when I select it it will show me the four contacts that I have imported
3:07
just a moment ago. So there we go. Now if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like
