Welcome and follow me as a Motorola Moto G30 and today I'll show you how to go
0:12
through the setup process of the device. And when you boot it up for the first
0:17
time you'll be presented with the, I guess, aptly named Hi there screen. So all you need to
0:22
do here is simply select your desired language. Now for me it's already
0:27
selected by default but you can just find your desired language here and
0:31
choose it by clicking on it. From there tap on start and you'll be taken to the
0:37
insert SIM card option. Now this is, like I said, an option so you don't actually
0:43
have to do it. You can skip it and you basically don't miss out on anything. The
0:50
moment you want to insert your SIM card it will work as intended. So I'm going to
0:55
the next page. We have Wi-Fi connection so here we can log into our Wi-Fi. And
0:59
again, just as before, we can skip it. If for instance you might not have a
1:04
network connection, which could be a possibility, then don't worry you can
1:08
just simply skip it and that's about it. But by skipping it you will lose the
1:13
option to log into your Google account throughout the setup and also you will
1:19
most likely have to set up a date and time manually. So yeah, I'm gonna skip it
1:26
anyway because I don't really care about logging into Google. And from here we
1:31
have Google services so we have things like location scanning and sending user
1:35
and diagnostic data. Now I'm not really gonna go into it. Most of them are just
1:42
data gathering trash. If you don't want it you can disable it. If you are really
1:46
interested in what this is you can click on the arrow, expand the list and
1:50
basically read what it exactly does. Give or take probably some key
1:57
actual specifics on what it exactly does because it's Google. But yeah, you will
2:03
get the gist of it. So let's tap on accept and then we have the option to
2:09
set up a screen lock. Now it looks like by default it opts into a four digit pin
2:13
but we can tap right over here and change it to either a pattern or also
2:17
password. I'm gonna go with the pattern. Now if you don't want any of those you can
2:23
simply tap on skip if you wanted to. But I do want to set up a protection so
2:27
let's draw that one. Redraw the same pattern and confirm it and voila we have
2:32
now protection on our device. Now it looks like automatically it goes into a
2:38
fingerprint. Next, but because I don't really want to fiddle with the
2:43
fingerprint sensor on the back I'm just gonna skip it. And here we have privacy
2:50
and it asks for update. Obviously we do need to accept. Then we have Motorola
2:55
Let's stay in touch. Let's not. So I'm not gonna provide anything and we're
3:04
basically done with the setup. It just gives us a guide on how to use the gesture navigation. So get started gives you swipe up to go home, swipe up and
3:13
hold to go to recent and then go back by swiping from the sides. Cool. If any of
3:19
you use the phone in the last two years you probably are aware on how gesture
3:23
navigation works. So let's swipe up and voila we're finished with the setup
3:30
So if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks
