Welcome, in front of me is a Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus and today I'll show you how we can record screen on this phone
0:10
So to get started let's pull down our notifications and you can swipe to the left to get the second page where you'll find the toggle for screen recording
0:19
Now once you see this toggle you can either tap on it to start recording or you can hold it and this will take you to the settings so you can get a quick glance at how it's set by
0:27
default and if something doesn't fit your needs just change it. Now I'll touch up on couple important settings right here
0:33
which will be the video quality. If we tap on it, it gives us a list of different qualities right here. Now just to kind of
0:40
explain this, if you record your screen and you find that the video just kind of gets fuzzy or pixelated or something like that
0:47
then you might want to increase your megabits per second. If it's not then
0:55
don't do anything, but I don't recommend changing it to the highest possible number because it will increase
1:02
the amount of storage taken per minute substantially. So just to kind of describe this, one megabit per second is basically if you record one minute
1:12
that's gonna be 16 megabits of storage taken. But obviously 16 is probably like the sweet spot or the default setting right here
1:21
So this is 16 times more space needed per minute compared to the one megabit right now
1:27
Don't go with the one just because it's taking less space. You lose quality
1:32
16 is I think pretty good. But like I said, if you find it to be a little bit pixelated or something like that
1:37
then go with the 24. Anything above that will be just an overkill so you don't need to go anywhere higher
1:43
Now in terms of the resolution, it's already set to the highest. I recommend keeping it at that and then if we scroll down
1:48
we also have frame rate. It by default should be set to 24, but I recommend changing it to 30
1:54
And that's about all the settings that I would recommend changing. The rest are preferential like the show touches on the screen
2:03
So on the screen recording you'll see a semi-transparent gray dot where your finger was tapping, show button tops and so on
2:09
So select them if you want to. Now from there, let's find the toggle once more, tap on it
2:14
and select this red circle right here, which will start recording. Before I do, I'm gonna just quickly touch upon the settings right here
2:21
So we have the folder which will take us to just screen recordings. Settings which we have just accessed by holding the button. So it's kind of useless and then the close button
2:30
Anyway, I'm gonna start recording and whatever I'll do right now obviously will be recorded by the device
2:38
And once I'm done I can interact with this overlay as you can see and then select the square
2:44
Which will save my screen recording into the gallery application right over here
2:49
I'm gonna go back from it so I can show you how to get to where I am right now
2:54
So typically you'd be on the photos tab and here you should see your screen recording without a problem as you can see there it is
3:00
But later on once you coming back to this screen recording down the line weeks, months later
3:05
you might struggle with finding it obviously. So you can quickly locate it by going into the albums
3:11
screenshots and screen recordings. Make sure you select the screen recording tab right here because by default you should be in screenshots
3:18
Click right here and then you'll see just all these screen recordings that have captured over the time
3:25
And from here you can play it back obviously. So there we go
3:34
