Welcome, in front of me is a Xiaomi 12 Pro and today I'll show you how you can enable

and also set up your portable hotspot. So to get started, pull down your notifications from the right side, it doesn't matter which

side you pull it down as you can see if I do it from the other one, I just get the notifications

if I do it from the right I get the toggles. So from here, once you pull it down, expand it and look for the toggle for the hotspot

which for me is right here below. This is the default location of the toggle so hopefully you can find it in the same exact location

Now once you locate it, hold the toggle the first time around, that will quickly take

you to the settings where you can then select set up portable hotspot and edit the password

because as you can see the default one that comes with the device is just some randomly

generated trash. So let's remove this one and set our own. Once you remove the old password, it does let you know that it needs to have at least

eight characters in length. There we go. At which point you can save it

Below that we have a couple options which you can go down and edit if you want to or

ignore them if you don't really care. Most of them are set so the hotspot can be basically used by virtually anybody

So they will do the job, they won't be doing the job best but it will work basically

So anyway from here let's select the checkmark to save the settings

If you don't do that obviously the settings won't be changed and everything will go back

to how it was before. And from here we can either toggle it on from here or by finding the toggle in here again

which is right here as you can see, and simply tapping on it. Now it is enabled right now as you can see right here

So if I tap on it again I will turn it off. And obviously you do want to remember to turn it off because the hotspot does consume more

battery on your device and if you're not utilizing it there is no real reason for it to be running
