Welcome
0:07
Today I will go of unboxing along with an overview of this
0:11
Xiaomi, Mi 11 Light. So starting off, this is kind of how it came package apart from the box and they include
0:20
this little paper, not really sure why, but oh well, let's just meet it to the side and
0:27
from here get surprised by the actual stickers which I need to find my knife to open them up
0:34
There we go. Oh gosh. There we go. Found it. Great. Took me a little bit
0:52
So let's cut these. There we go. And let's pop it open
1:04
So nothing on the top of the case or the box. Inclusion of some hair, that's nice
1:11
Anyway, let's pop it open and in here we've got our casing
1:17
And something else, which I just dropped. USB C2 headphone jack. That's actually nice that they didn't include this
1:27
So yeah, that's kind of cool. Always like when companies do include things that they didn't really need to include, but
1:37
data anyway, so props for that. And apart from that, nothing else in here, apart from just some paperwork, which no one
1:43
really cares about. So let me just toss up to the side, and then get to the phone itself, which is kind of slimmer
1:54
than I expected. Paper, don't care about that. Then we got the charger and the cable
2:03
So the charger is, if I remember correctly, 30 watts, or 33, more precisely. You can barely see
2:11
probably here, so it's nice. Overall the fact that there is a charger is nice. Then we got a
2:20
type A to type C cable. you can see right here, type 8, type C, coded in orange
2:28
So, here we go, and that's about it. So let's move to the actual phone
2:35
Now the version that I have right here is the non-5G, as you can see
2:39
based on the Snapdragon that it is here. So it's the Snapdragon 732G
2:45
There is also a couple different changes between those two, but nothing really significant
2:51
So let's just pop it open. Also I'm going to power it on out of the other. automatically
2:56
Come on. There we go. So just plop it open and that is actually way thinner than I expected
3:06
So while it's turning on, I'm going to go over the screen specifications
3:10
So what you see right here is a 6.55 inch Ammolet display within 90 Hz, refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 by 2400
3:20
which is what I would call a typical resolution for modern smartphone. modern smartphone
3:25
Also, 85.3% screen-to-body ratio, 402 pixels per inch, and Gorilla Glass 5
3:34
Now, with the Gorilla Glass 5, this is one of the changes that it's done
3:38
between the 5G and non-5G, the 5G version of this phone, which I guess you can call it the better version
3:45
however you want to look at it, has a Gorilla Glass 6, so a little bit tougher glass
3:50
but that's about all the major changes So yeah let just finish up the setup Skip this Now I can really get used to how light this phone is It literally like paper weight
4:12
Okay, there we go. So yeah, it's super thinn as a device
4:18
Thinner than I'm actually used to to be perfectly honest. and super light, which is another weird thing
4:27
Okay, so while it almost boots up, I'm going to quickly go over the camera specifications right here
4:34
so we have triple camera setup at the back which you can see, these three
4:38
And yeah, so we have a 64 megapixel wide, 8 megapixel ultra wide, and 5 megapixel macro lens right here
4:47
And it would be nice if we would finish up the setups, so I can actually show you the cameras
4:52
cameras. And also at the front in the cutout we do have a 16 megapixel white sensor as well
4:59
So any time. There we go. Just max out the brightness so it looks better
5:10
And let's launch the camera straight off the bat. Okay. So I'm going to grab my little plenty right here
5:21
and just capture a couple photos. Also you can see that there is no photos right now
5:26
Just make this clear. So there is the normal
5:42
I'm going to also go for it two times zoom, just so I can see how good it gets
5:50
Let's then also go into macro, which will be probably the weakest part of the camera setup right here
6:03
It looks like what they call macro is just a two times zoom
6:10
And what else is left? Ultra white, I guess. We can go over that
6:15
If I can quickly find it. Photo, video, pro. Nope, nope, nope, nope
6:27
Can't really find a portrait. Oh, there we go. I mean, no, that's portrait
6:36
Oh, I know where it is. There we go. Photo and disable this, and there we go
6:42
That's how you get it. That's the old trouble. Sorry for that abrupt cut
6:50
Someone decided to rudely interrupt me, so I basically needed to stop the recording
6:54
but let's continue. So I finished off on it. It looks like the ultra-wide
7:01
so I guess that's basically all I wanted to show off with the camera
7:05
So let's go over the actual photos. So here we've got the ultra-wide
7:12
The screen is a little bit weird. like it's not very nice to the finger
7:19
If you... It's kind of weird. But anyway, let's go over the actual photos
7:29
So, ultra-wide looks, I guess as you would expect, from a 8 megapixel ultra-wide
7:37
It's nothing really amazing. It's also nothing bad. Then we get the 5 megapixel macro
7:45
So let's zoom in and actually see how that come out. So it looks okay It I don think it any better than the zoom one Yeah like can compare the zoom to this one and the difference here is only between colors
8:05
There's not much of a difference, honestly. So, and let's just say that this phone actually has two lenses rather than three
8:12
because one can be substituted with the 64 megapixel wide one, which does objectively a better macro shot
8:21
So yeah. Now, honestly, at this point, it doesn't even surprise me anymore
8:26
A lot of those companies include those super trashy lenses, the micro, and depth
8:31
This phone doesn't actually have a depth sensor, which is surprising. But still, I decided to go for the 5 megapixel macro
8:38
Most likely, fully knowing that the 5 megapixel macro is so crap that it will be outperformed by the main sensor
8:45
which inclusion of it is just a marketing way. like the phone has three lenses instead of two because hey why would you have two lenses
8:54
it makes the phone look worse it doesn't matter that the lenses that are included to make it
8:59
above two are just complete another garbage so yeah I kind of hate this marketing
9:06
scheme because it's nothing else than an absolute scheme so yeah now moving further
9:14
past this in terms of video recording I'm just gonna quickly go over it it records at 4k
9:19
30 frames and if you drop it down resolution to 1080p you can record at 30 and 60 along with 120
9:26
I believe 120 will be slow motion so let me quickly check it
9:30
4k 1080 60 to 80 30 so yeah it's going to be a slow motion because we can only record at
9:38
1080p 60 normally and front facing camera I can also record at 1080p 30 and 720 120
9:49
and slow motion again, but with even lower resolution. And now going to the actual bread and butter of this phone
9:56
which is going to be the specifications of it. So we have Snabragon 7662G, which was already mentioned based on this little thing
10:05
But I'm going to also mention another thing, so the better version of this
10:11
or the more expensive I guess, however you want to look at it, comes with actually a better processor, so Snabruggan 780
10:18
which is a 5ggg capable chipset meaning that the device actually has 5G
10:27
connectivity this one does not also in terms of storage we have a couple different
10:32
variants so the one that I have right here I believe it's probably gonna be the
10:36
cheapest one yep so this is the oh no it's actually not the cheapest one this is
10:40
120 six gigabyte RAM the cheapest version of this phone will be that 64
10:48
gigabytes, six gigabytes RAM and then you have the 120 gig storage with six or eight
10:53
gigabyte RAM. So you can choose whichever one you want. All of them come with a
10:57
UFS 2.2 storage so it should be fairly decent. I'll say decent enough to record
11:03
or encode at 4k. And you also have the ability to expand the storage using
11:10
SD card although it is a shared storage meaning that you will have to choose if you want to use two
11:17
different sim cards or one sim card and one SD card. Let me just pop it out quickly just so you can see what I mean
11:24
Once I find the tray, there we go. So you can see one side is just a single SIM tray and if you flip it over you have the
11:35
SD tray. That doubles also as a SIM tray. So you can choose which one I pop in here
11:40
But this side is only SD or not as the SIM tray, I meant. And just pop it back
11:47
in and finish it up so lastly the device battery is a 40 to 50m battery so 4 which is actually fairly surprising considering like you can see this device is thin
12:02
So, let me compare it to my daily driver, which is the mate 20 pro
12:08
and I would consider this to be a, or used to consider this to be a fairly thin device
12:12
and you can see it is significantly thicker than this. And in terms of weight, it's basically doubled the weight of this one
12:22
And in terms of charging, like we've seen, 33 watt fast charger
12:29
Now there was nothing about how quick it charges, so I will assume probably 100% in about
12:35
an hour to hour and a half, something along those lines, that's what I'll be expecting, although
12:39
I'm just kind of guessing based on the charger that they provided
12:44
And lastly, it does come with a fingerprint sensor, but it's not under display, it's on the side
12:52
before I finish this off, I'm going to set up a fingerprint just so we can see how quick it works
12:58
Now, from what I remember last time I did a fingerprint on, I believe it was another Pocophone
13:06
these side-mounted fingerprints are ridiculously fast. So, let's see. There we go, done
13:27
So let's see. Now I'm going to unlock it. Yeah, that is like, I'm just literally topping it
13:37
You don't even need to press it and you can see how quick it works
13:47
I'm trying to literally just touch it but that seems to be a little bit too quick
13:51
So yeah, it is just blazing fast fingerprint. And honestly, if you get such a fast fingerprint sensor
14:02
this I would say outperforms any kind of under-display fingerprint. Like, there is no comparison to it, to be honest
14:10
So yeah, super fast fingerprint sensor. And lastly, I will mention the price tag
14:17
which is $319. give or take, I believe if the devices are on sale or different people
14:26
you're playing it on something like Amazon, I believe you can probably find out different price ranges as well
14:31
And also depending on which version you go for, I believe that 319 is the cheapest one
14:37
So if you go for like 120 gigabyte storage with 8 gigabytes RAM
14:42
obviously it's going to be more, but other than that, if we just take that base price of it
14:47
basically $300. This is an outstanding device. 90 Hertz display refresh rate
14:52
Ammoled with with fairly decent performance of the device, it doesn't have
15:02
5G at least not this one. The other one with 5G will be also a little bit more
15:06
but if you want to future proof I guess it might be worth dropping
15:10
extra dollar on that one. And yeah it's really nice device. It feels nice
15:16
in the hand, works nice and I can't really complain past the single lens that just bugs me
15:23
about every device bugs me with those lenses to be honest the 5 megapixel macro or depth sensors are just useless trash
15:29
and I just hate it so I always point it out but as in that this device just works really nicely
15:36
and for the price range it is an outstanding price for the device
15:40
