Welcome
0:02
Philemy is a Real Me 6S and today I'll go over on
0:10
boxing along a brief overview of the device. So starting off this is the box that it comes in
0:16
As you can see, it's a typical thing, nothing else at the ordinary here
0:20
Some specifications on the bottom which will go over soon enough. On the bottom there's nothing here
0:28
the flimsy box, then paperwork along with a cover, which that's nice
0:37
I'm going to set up this side and we're going to come back to it soon. And we'll booklet with instructions that one really cares about and no one cares about this either
0:47
From there we got the phone itself, so just pop it open
0:52
Now I'll mention I already have set up the device as you can see right here so I have
0:58
a little bit of a knowledge about it. Then under here, it's a piece of paper
1:05
the cable for charging, type A to type C with this yellow coating
1:09
As you can see, the same color as all the box and everything. And then the power brick
1:18
There we go. Also branded RealMe right here. And the power brick is a 3 watt brick
1:25
so a fairly decent one. especially for the price of this device, I'm really surprised that they gave you such a
1:35
such a charger. Let's set that to the side and then get the phone right over here
1:44
And here we have the case, so I'm going to quickly just pop it in here to see how it looks like
1:58
I'm struggling a little bit of actually putting it in there. I go one side and the other
2:13
And we go the other. So as you can see, that's how it looks like with the case on
2:21
It's a clear one so you can still see the back of the device. Also, we can see a way more smudges on it
2:27
And apart from that on the front, you have a fairly substantial lip, as you can see
2:34
Where previously it was not there. This is due so you can place the phone on the screen and it won't get scratched
2:41
The case will protect it from that. But if you don't like it, if you prefer a phone that has way more minimalistic casing
2:49
for instance, something like I have, as you can see right here where it's basically nonexistent
2:55
then this is not the case for you. It just kind of stick that really well
3:04
Just take it off. Okay, so I'm going to set it to the side
3:13
And now we can go to the main part of the device. Showcase right here, which is the overview of the device
3:20
And this is kind of annoying. tries to scan for my finger, not for my face, and because it's not my face that is added here
3:29
It does this fail, which when you're trying to log in, or well put the pattern, it blinks red
3:37
you cannot actually put it in, so you have to wait. Not the best design here, I would have to say
3:45
Okay, so now going to the specifications, the display is a 6.5 inch
3:53
display with a resolution of 1080p by 2,400, so just a typical display, and also it's an LCD
4:00
so you're not getting any kind of like super deep blacks like you get with an OLED or super Amelad
4:06
But then I will probably start off by saying this at the front, this is a device for roughly $200 or euros
4:15
and for the price that it costs, it's an outstanding device. So that being said, we can now proceed and keep that
4:23
in mind the price of this device so you get an LCD which is fairly good also
4:29
something that I'm surprised with is it has a 90 hertz refresh rate so if we go
4:34
into the settings you will be actually able to see that you have two different
4:38
refresh rates that you can choose from there we go screen refresh rate so you have 90
4:43
and 60 I have the auto select which we'll just choose I believe based on battery
4:48
I'll just stick with the 90 the smoothness that you get from all the devices
4:53
way better than 60 so everything looks more fluid and the device feels a little bit more premium I have to say because of this And also moving back to the display the screen to body ratio of anybody cares it a 84
5:10
Nothing really groundbreaking right here. It's just kind of like a standard screen to body
5:17
ratio for displays with the whole punch of camera. Honestly, it looks decent. As you can see
5:24
there's the whole punch camera and that's the bezel now you do have a fairly bigger bezel at the
5:30
bottom as you can see right over here right here so you do have a bigger bezel
5:37
at the bottom than at the top okay so moving on we can go to the cameras
5:44
which let me quickly flip the device onto the back so you have a
5:48
quadruple camera set up at the back and the main sensor is a
5:52
48 megapixel wide sensor then you have an 8 megapixel ultra wide, and then 2 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth 1
6:01
And all of that can shoot at either 4K 30 frames or 1080p 30, 60, and also slow motion at 120
6:10
So the cameras are actually fairly good part of here, especially that you can record a budget device
6:17
I would say, for 200 euros at 4K, 30 or probably. would have been better at 60 but then you do get a 1080p 60 and even slow motion
6:30
I don't want to install this so be done, there we go
6:35
Now we can quickly get a look on how it's doing with actually capturing photos
6:41
So I'm going to pop this little figure right here and just snap a couple of photos of it
6:47
and see how well it did with capturing detail on it. Now I'm going to be using for this the
6:54
automatic setups I won't be tweaking any kind of pro modes. So you can get a, well, basically an idea on how it performs just when you're whip it out of your phone without any preparation, just snap photos
7:09
And see, do I have to go? Okay, there's the macro lens
7:24
Let's see how it went. So this is the macro lens
7:35
And let's just put it on the stand. So you can see a little bit of the detail of the red hat, which is from what I've seen, the
7:49
problem that a lot of the phones have with capturing just the red area right here and
7:54
which is, for the most part, makes it a little bit of a blurry mess
7:59
But in here you can actually, in the macro, you can see a little bit of a detail in there
8:03
It's nothing really mind-blowing, but then it's still better than some other devices that I have tried in recent timing
8:09
So those are the macro, and that is the normal, I believe
8:14
So you can also see some texture in there. So this does way better job than I actually expected it too
8:21
So, at least for the normal camera, this is a fairly decent job
8:28
Just see once more, just to be sure that it wasn't capturing with the macro
8:34
So I'm going to go over all the lenses in a way, so I'm going to start with a normal one
8:41
and this is going to be the ultra wide, then two times zoom
8:46
And it's switched to the macro for some reason. macro for some reason so this is the five times now this probably won't be the best
9:04
example of the camera considering I'm just capturing a single object so this is the
9:11
five times so you can see it kind of gets blurry but then it is zoomed in quite a lot
9:17
this is the default size of the five times zoom. Then I'm going to go here, that's the two times zoom
9:26
So you can see that it already loses some detail in the photo
9:32
Then let's go. I believe that was the macro that got captured
9:36
And this actually did a fairly good job. As you can see, there's like dirt visible right here, or just like the paint, not being too good
9:44
which is barely visible when I'm looking at it. You can see just like the cracks and the paint and well bits missing
9:55
Let go further so that was the ultra wide Looks like the worst out of the mall actually So this just looks like a blurry mess and I believe this was the normal one Although it not I think focus on
10:13
it well. So yeah that's basically the camera right here and different cameras
10:21
that you have the choice between so like the macro ultra wide and all those. Now
10:27
Let's also get a quick view of the video. So let me just quickly check what the settings are
10:35
And we're right now at 1080b 30s. Yeah, let's go to 60 right here
10:43
Okay, so I'm going to try the 60 right here. Then I just kind of skim around the office right here
10:49
get a movement going so you can see how well it does with 60 frames and also stabilization
10:56
So that's set. Now let's pop it up here and just get a quick panning shot
11:04
Once it actually catches the focus, there we go. Okay, so this will be the 1080p, at 60
11:24
Let me just mute it so there's no sound going off of it. So I would say when it comes onto recording, it has a couple problems that I can see right now
11:41
Now I assume they could be addressed with an update, which as you've seen there was one waiting
11:46
but as you've seen there was some light flickering and at the beginning it does stutter a bit
11:53
So it's not as smooth as it should be in my opinion
11:56
and not for a 60 frame footage. It locks at the beginning, loses frames
12:01
and it just looks kind of jaggyy. And let's quickly go to the 4K
12:11
I'm going to basically the same thing right here, although I don't have the choice of going with 60
12:17
so I only have the 30 frame. So that being set right now, let's again do the same thing
12:26
and let's look at that
12:41
So this looks honestly atrocious. I wouldn't really use that the 4k footage
12:50
It becomes blurry when you move the camera and overall it's not
12:56
smooth, doesn't keep the 30 frames as you've seen right here, hopefully
13:02
Okay, so moving out of the camera, as we already checked out the majority of this
13:07
going back to these specs, so now like we said, we had the 48 megapixel camera as a main shooter
13:16
then we have 4 gigabytes of built and RAM with a Helius G90T
13:23
and the phone comes with only one variant. of storage so you have 64 gigabytes
13:29
which is also expendable via SD card if you want to have more
13:34
and the storage itself has a UFS 2.1 so it won't be a little bit faster than a
13:42
typical flash drive but it's not going to be as fast for it's like the newer devices that come with the
13:48
storage 3.0 this is basically half of that speed so you're going to lose a little bit of trends
13:56
read and write speeds so keep that in mind now if you're not planning to
14:01
really do any kind of like heavy work on it for instance with saving stuff
14:06
and editing for instance videos or stuff like that and also when you're
14:10
taking a really high quality for instance video it gets saved now with a
14:15
faster storage it gets saved and processed quicker with the slower one
14:20
well it's gonna take a little bit longer so that will be the difference in it
14:24
Now if you're not too concerned about, I don't know, losing a second more or two while doing such a task, then I guess this point doesn't really apply to you
14:35
To all the other people that want to save as much time as they can and want the bang for the bug, the UFS 2.1 is lower than 3, which majority of devices now, at least a higher budget one, starting to use
14:49
But then, going back, this is not really a higher budget device
14:54
this is 200 euros so I would say it kind of like mid to to almost budget standard and apart from that you also have a 4 million hour battery so a fairly decent battery here especially for that power brick
15:13
that does fast charging at 30 watts. And it's advertised that it will charge your
15:19
device from 0 to 100% in 55 minutes. So that is a really nice time to charge. And
15:28
It's a fairly, honestly, respectable charger and charging speed for the price, like I said it before, for this device
15:36
Then, moving on to a couple other small things, just the overview of the device
15:44
As you can see, there's also the camera in the front. Now I'm not really going to be testing anything from the front
15:50
It does do the face unlock, as you can see that it's trying to scan my face, so it's used for that
15:56
and it's a 16 megapixel white sensor that can shoot at 1080p 30 frames
16:02
So just for those people that like to use their selfie cams
16:08
And apart from the face unlock with the front camera, you also have a fingerprint sensor which is doubled as a power key on the side
16:15
right over here as you can see. So that is also a fingerprint
16:20
Now it is not set up right now so it doesn't really unlock, but normally if you press your thumb it would automatically
16:26
unlock with it when you press it and also you have the volume markers on the left
16:35
side right here along with the SIM tray along with the SD tray and then just
16:42
like I said on the right side you have the fingerprint sensor and then at the
16:49
bottom you actually didn't know you have a headphone jack now there is no headphones
16:54
provided so you will have to have your own but it's really nice to actually have the
16:59
headphone jack included and I'm in the range to low range budget device I'd say and then
17:06
again you have the type C charger which is really good I hate the devices that still
17:11
pop the old charging port on like 2020 devices it's just kind of funny that they still
17:19
use those this in my opinion just became a new standard while ago and
17:24
device should have it so if you're looking at other devices that have this just pack
17:29
just don't and then you also have the microphones and speaker girls and at the top
17:36
nothing and also you have the recessed headphone our earpiece right here which is barely
17:43
visible it's going along the frame right here which is the plastic cuts out that is going around
17:49
the glass and makes the earpiece and at the bottom you don't have
17:54
anything apart from the knot and the chin of the device. And yeah, now also if I
18:02
flip it around you will see the color of it, I'm sure if you paid attention to it
18:06
So this is the eclipse black and there is also lunar white. You only have two
18:14
choices of colors and this is the black one. Now I don't have the other one to
18:18
show you how the white one looks like but I'm pretty sure you can find it
18:22
somewhere else the images of the white. one. And yeah. So to conclude this video, the Real Me 6S is a really, really good budget option
18:36
For 200 euros, at least I considered a semi-budget option, a little bit to like a mid-range
18:43
The specs are really good. The device works outstandingly. The cameras were surprisingly
18:49
well to me actually. I expected a bit poor quality out of it but it did
18:56
surprise me that it was still taking a decent photos right here at least in the
19:00
setup that I have right now. I did not go out and capture any extensive photos like
19:06
photoshoots to get a full idea of how well it works but for just this
19:11
purpose that I did right here that I could see it did fairly really respectable
19:16
job here. And apart from that that I also get the case which is a plus in my book and if I said add you a case for your
19:25
device for along with it I just kind of respect that and yeah it's really good device if you're
19:34
looking for a but more in this range phone of like 200 euros then I would say this is a decent
19:41
device to go for and I would recommend it and if you found this very helpful don't forget to
