Welcome. In front of me is an Infinix Note30 Pro, and today I'll show you an unboxing along with a quick overview of this phone
0:12
So, let's just get straight into it. Now, at the back we have a couple of important informations about the spec of this device
0:19
So, we do have a 120 Hz AMOLED display, 108 MP camera, up to 16 GB extra extended RAM
0:30
Okay, that's just bullshit. Dual speaker, okay, so the rest of it doesn't really matter
0:35
So, let's just get into it. But the 120 Hz AMOLED, that's actually pretty nice
0:43
So, getting in the box. You have the device right away. Very nice design
1:03
We get a SIM eject tool. Trash. A tempered glass
1:18
See, yeah, I think this is tempered glass. Either that or it's a very thick piece of plastic
1:25
In either case, it comes provided with the device, so that's fantastic. And then, below that, we have our plastic case
1:36
So, a hard case, that's also pretty nice. Then we get a wired pair of earbuds
1:43
charging cable, Type A to Type C, charging cable, Type A to Type C
1:47
and a 68 Watt charger. Come on, they could have added that one additional Watt
1:55
It would have been nice. Anyway, let's leave that to the side
2:01
So, as you can see, in a package we do get a pretty decent amount of content
2:08
if we can call that. So, headphones, charger, cable, and even a case
2:14
along with a screen protector. So, yeah, pretty decent package altogether. Now, let's turn on the device
2:27
And start off with the display. So, the display that you will see right in a second here
2:32
is, like I mentioned before, an AMOLED display, 1 billion colors, 120 Hz refresh rate
2:37
and a peak brightness of 900 nits. And it's a 6.6 inch display, running a resolution of 1080 x 2400
2:45
So, just to kind of say this in simpler terms for people who don't really know what I just said with the specs
2:53
the display right here is pretty good. So, it should be one of the better displays that you can get on phones
3:01
and most likely, probably pretty close to something that is fantastic at the price range that this device most likely comes at
3:10
Now, I don't actually see the price, but I can probably guess that it's somewhere along 200 US dollars
3:18
And just to kind of test that out, I'm going to check it out
3:22
Because obviously that will have a crucial part on how good this device is
3:27
If it's going to cost a thousand bucks, it's probably going to be significantly overpriced
3:31
and my opinion would change about it. But if it's for 200 bucks and coming with already 120 Hz AMOLED display
3:37
that is already pretty good. So, this is the Note 30 Pro
3:48
Let's see. So, it's about a little bit more, I guess closer to like 300 US dollars
3:58
I think that's the closest. I think it's about 300 bucks. So, with that being said, I still think it's a pretty decent device
4:05
at least starting off with it. So, anyway, let's continue down the list of specs
4:11
Now, this device comes with a processor Helio G99 and has a 256 GB built-in storage with 8 GB of RAM
4:20
This is the only option that I can pick, and there isn't any other one
4:25
Now, luckily, we do have expandable storage, so if you want to
4:30
you can just pop in an SD card in here and a dual SIM on the other side
4:40
and you're good to go. Not really sure why the QR scanner turned on
4:47
Well, how the heck do I close this? Hello? Hello? Oh, there we go
4:55
There's an almost invisible back button. Continuing into the cameras, because we do have, by the looks of it
5:04
a pretty decent setup right here, at least from what they advertised
5:08
So, the main sensor, like I already mentioned, is a 108 MP wide sensor PDAF
5:12
Then, that's where it actually starts to fall apart. So, then we get a 2 MP macro and depth camera
5:18
Now, just to be completely honest, this is garbage. So, 2 MP macro
5:24
absolutely useless, especially with a 108 MP wide sensor. So, just to clarify this
5:31
macro is typically used for close-up shots, like really close, to give you almost microscopic
5:38
kind of look at things. Not necessarily that close, but you get the point
5:42
It allows you to get really close to whatever you're trying to capture a picture of
5:47
and get really fine detail of whatever that is. Now, with that being said
5:54
2 MP is absolutely atrocious for this, and especially when you have
5:58
a 108 MP camera on here. You can just do 2x zoom
6:03
That will produce a significantly higher resolution photo that also provides you with more detail
6:09
than the dedicated macro lens, making the macro be absolutely useless and be outperformed by the main camera
6:15
Begging the question, why is it even on here? And same goes for the depth sensor
6:19
It's used primarily for portrait modes, but because it's only 2 MP
6:23
it tends to create a halo effect around a subject because it doesn't have enough pixels
6:29
to define the subject from the background. One sec. OK
6:40
So, continuing on. Let's see what else we have. In terms of build quality
6:49
let's touch upon this. We have a glass front, we have a plastic frame
6:55
and also a glass back. Apart from that, we have a fingerprint
7:01
that doubles as a power button mounted on the side, along with volume buttons
7:07
Then at the top, we just got a microphone, and also some markings
7:13
Sound by JBL, which means absolutely nothing. Let's try to get the light correctly
7:19
And then at the bottom, we have a headphone jack, our Type-C charging port
7:25
microphone between, and then speaker grill on here. The JBL speakers. And that's basically
7:33
everything about the design right here. So, anything else that I missed
7:39
There is. Battery size right here. We have a 5000 mAh battery
7:43
which is what you would expect for this size. We also have
7:47
the 68W charger, and it's advertised that it will charge your device to 80% in 30 minutes
7:53
which is pretty damn good. And that would basically sum up everything about the device
8:01
One last thing that I'm going to mention for people that might be interested is
8:05
that this device comes with Android 13, and they have a skin
8:09
an Infinix skin, which is called XOS 13. So it, I guess, keeps the same
8:15
number as the Android. So, at the moment, I think the newest Android
8:19
is 14, but it's still just being kind of rolled out to
8:23
most of the flagship devices, like Samsungs and stuff like that. So it might be a while before
8:29
this device gets it, but I am fairly confident that it will get
8:33
updated to at least Android 14 without a problem. So, that's basically it
8:41
The device is relatively mid-range, I would say, with the price, obviously
8:47
being about $300. And it comes with some decent features. One last thing that I wanted to check is
8:55
where is it? Oh, one last thing that I didn't actually mention
9:01
which I did see somewhere on the video, on here in the simulation
9:07
you can kind of see it. It would suggest that we have wireless charging, and
9:12
we supposedly do. Let's see if I can... Yep, so it is charging
9:20
I'm gonna clear the space and zoom out. There we go. So
9:30
this is basically my under-table charger, wireless one. If I place it on here
9:36
you can see it starts charging. So... And it just disappeared. Oh, I think
9:48
it's... Let's try it again. There we go. So you can see it is charging
9:54
So, even at this price range, we do have wireless charging on this device, so
10:02
that is actually surprising and really nice to see for people that might be interested in
10:06
Now, with that being said, I would probably recommend going for something like MagSafe accessories
10:10
if there is a possibility, just because it's gonna make it a little bit more
10:14
convenient to actually use the wireless charger. Other than that, it supposedly supports 15W
10:20
wireless charging, which is also pretty decent. So there we go. That's basically all the info about
10:26
this device, and just to kind of point out a couple different good things about the device
10:30
first one will be obviously the display. Being an AMOLED display and being at 120Hz refresh rate, that is
10:36
fantastic. It's gonna make the viewing experience, the black levels and also the smoothness of the
10:42
display feel absolutely fantastic. Another thing is that we do have expandable storage and
10:48
the device itself doesn't actually slack with the specs right here being 256GB
10:54
of storage by default with 8GB RAM. I would say that's sufficient enough
11:00
And battery size and charging speeds are also some of the better ones
11:04
right here. Being a 68W charging speed, that gets your device to 80% in 30 minutes
11:10
That is really good. Now where it kind of falls apart is
11:16
the cameras, at least the two additional ones the macro and depth ones
11:20
are just useless. So those are not gonna be very good. The processor
11:24
right here, I don't think it's very good. I'm not fully certain
11:28
how powerful this is, but I would assume it's closer to something like a Snapdragon
11:33
680, I think. Let me just kind of maybe look it up
11:41
This is the Helio G99. Let's see
11:55
So that being said they're roughly about the same. So this is equivalent to a Snapdragon 680
12:07
this specific processor that is in here. Now if I remember correctly, Snapdragon was released
12:13
some time ago already. And to be fair the Helio G99, which is in
12:21
here, does pull ahead in certain things like multi-core scores specifically in Geekbench for instance
12:27
6 and single-core scores. So it is faster in certain aspects but to be fair
12:35
it is faster than Snapdragon for the most part. There's just a couple different
12:41
things where it just, for instance battery life, where it just falls a tiny bit behind. But
12:47
I would just consider those to be about kind of the same
12:53
not really though. So looking at it a little bit more gaming performance for instance, score
12:59
Snapdragon 680 has a 16, Helio G99 has a 22. Now that is out of 100. So
13:09
as you can see, they're close but when we just compare these two together
13:15
it's a little bit bigger difference but considering this is out of 100
13:19
it just kind of comes out to be a couple percentage difference
13:23
Let's see 3D Mark shows a little bit of a different picture right here
13:29
being wildlife performance being 184% better than the Snapdragon 680. So in terms of graphical
13:37
performance, it looks like Helio G99 will be significantly better than the Snapdragon
13:43
Now that's probably enough talking about the processors in here. So with that being said
13:50
I still want to point out this is a lower end processor
13:54
compared to Snapdragon for instance like 7 Gen 1 or 2. These will be just
14:00
miles ahead of this one and obviously Snapdragon like for instance the flagship
14:04
Snapdragon right now 8 Gen 2 will just blow this thing out of the water
14:08
without a problem. So just kind of wanted to point that out
14:12
But for the price that you get to pay, this is a pretty good device
14:16
So with that being said hopefully you found this video helpful and if you did
