Welcome Entronomy's an Aces Zenphone Flip 8 and today I'll show you an unboxing along with an overview of this device
0:15
So let's start off and pop it open. There we go
0:30
So nothing in the top side of the box
0:45
Let's pop out the phone right away so I can actually turn it on
1:00
There we go. Inside of here we got a charger, so this is, if I remember correctly, a 33 watt charger
1:15
Let's quickly check. Max, nope, it's a... Looks like it's a 30 watt charger
1:25
I don't think I'm going to be able to make it visible on my camera
1:29
camera. But yeah, it's basically a 30 watt charger. So anyway, it's still good
1:34
And below that we have a type C to type C charging cable for the brick. As you can see it is type C plug
1:42
So that's nice and anything else in here. Nope, nothing in here. So that's all we get in the box. Just a charger cable and I believe also a case
1:58
I believe also a case in here. Pop it open. Yep, there is a case
2:07
And paperwork, I'm not gonna bother taking that out. I don't care about the instructions
2:14
So there's the plastic case here that we get with it. Pop it in
2:23
There we go. Now it does have this little latch here to actually lock the camera
2:28
which is a fairly interesting design to stop the camera from like flipping up when it's..
2:38
As you can see. So anyway, now let's quickly go through the setup right here
2:51
And while I going to the setup I going to quickly tell you about the screen that we get here So this is a 6 inch Ammolid or Super Amelette display with a resolution of 1080 by 2400 and it a 90 refresh rate display
3:11
HDR 10 plus, peak of 700 nits, with a gorilla glass 6
3:18
So by all means, this is a fairly decent display, although the... although the 90 hertz actually seems a little bit low, let me quickly make sure that this is correct
3:30
There it is, so this only comes with 90 hertz apparently, which I would say leaves a little bit to be desired
3:38
I would rather prefer to see 120 than 90, but anyway, it's still decent
3:46
Now it comes with Android 11. One thing that I'll mention about the Android
3:51
the reason I'm mentioning that comes with Android 11, it will have an update to Android 12
3:57
and you can even go right now and get the beta version of the Android 12
4:03
and install it on this device without any problem. I can find it on NACIS website
4:07
which is neatly provided there if you are interested in doing so. Now, anyway, we can flip over the device
4:15
and you can see we have a triple camera setup right here, Made sensor is a 64 megapixel wide one, then we have an 8 megapixel telephoto and 12 megapixel ultra wide
4:24
And with those sensors you can shoot video at 8K at 30 frames, 4K, 30, 60 and slow motion of 120, along with 1080p, again 3060 with 240 slow motion
4:36
So fairly nice. And the front facing, well, it's the back facing, as the point of the flip
4:42
So you can use all the back sensors to have the exact same performance
4:47
as you have on the back, but move it to the front. So that's it
4:51
I'm going to let me turn on camera just so you can see a couple photos how well it does with it
5:01
No go. So this is going to be, I believe, a normal white shot
5:09
Let's just make sure that it is. Okay, can also go into these settings and make sure that in the settings we have everything maxed out
5:27
There we go. So as you can see, when you get into the camera right of the bat, it is set to a lower resolution
5:36
So if you want to get the full capability of the sensor, you will have to switch to the 64 right there
5:43
So now we should be good to go. So there is the normal shot although it looks like by switching it to 64 we lose ability
6:01
to switch between things like, just make sure. Yep, always lose the different switches right here for zoom and the ultra wide switch, some reason
6:14
And then this is two times, no, three times zoom. normal and ultra-white
6:22
So let's also take an ultra-wide photo right here. And let's go check it out how it came out
6:38
There's two photos. We have the ultra-white, which honestly looks decent. in a way better than I expected to be perfectly honest
6:51
And let's also look at the normal one. There we go. So this is the normal 64 megapixel shot
6:59
As you can see, because of that, it allows you to zoom really closely. And this actually outperforms majority of the macro lenses that I've seen on majority of the devices that come with the macro
7:12
2 megapixel most certainly. 5 megapixel would be very very good. close. To be honest, this is a really decent photo even when you zoom in, you get a lot of details
7:23
still in there. And considering this is like zoomed in really closely and kept the detail, that's
7:30
really nice. Probably if you would keep the phone a little bit more stable, have a better lighting
7:34
in there, it would even come out better. But this is just kind of, I guess, a little bit of a
7:40
crappy environment right here for this and it's still that decent. Now anyway, let's go into
7:48
these specifications now which are also a decent blend of specifications right here
7:54
so it comes with the newest snapdragon 888 it has a couple different versions in
7:58
terms of storage we have the 128 and also the 256 gigabyte storage and both of them
8:06
will come with 8 gigabytes RAM so you don't really have a choice there now additionally
8:10
I believe this is expendable via SD card but I will make sure just certain that it's not
8:17
something like weird. There we go. Let's pop it out and yep we have a dedicated SD card so you can pop any of your
8:27
SD card. So honestly if you're going for this device and you don't really care that much
8:33
about storage you're not sure if you're going to use up all the 128 gig storage
8:38
Do go for the lower one if you have to you will just expend it using an SD card which
8:44
will probably be a better alternative I would say it easier to try to for data that way So really nice that they included MSD here Now it also comes with a UFS 3 storage which means the storage that comes here is really fast
8:59
That is particularly good when you're trying to shoot videos at like 8K
9:03
This will read and write these videos way quicker than typical like trash storage that was used on the devices before
9:13
And also, on the battery here is a 5,000 million power battery with a 30 watt charging
9:19
Obviously you get additional things like fingerprint sensor on the display, NFC and all that stuff
9:25
So it's a decent device by basically all around decent device. Now the thing that you don't have here is a headphone jack
9:33
As you can see, there is no headphone jack anywhere here. So if you wanted to use your wired headphones you want to be able to do with this device
9:42
And that being said, honestly this device is fairly good. Aces does provide really decent phones for a decent price
9:49
although I actually haven't looked at the price tag for this one
9:54
But considering they were usually cheaper than any other flagship for the most part
10:00
especially the things like the normal Zenphone 8, not the flip one, which was smaller
10:07
comes with the same specifics. It was a fairly affordable device, considering
10:12
what it has with it. So I assume this one will be close to the same price
10:18
meaning probably about $200, 300 more, not more but less than majority of the other
10:26
flagship, so somewhere around like $700 I assume, but I'm just kind of guessing right here
10:31
So let me just actually make sure and quickly check out the price
10:42
So it costs about $800.800. Now I'm looking at a different currency, so I'm just converting it
10:55
But it comes to be like, okay, so it's at $700,800 depending on where you buy it
11:00
And honestly, for that price, it's an outstanding device. It comes below any other price range of phone that offers these things
11:07
And now it does have a little bit of a drawback. The cameras here aren't the greatest
11:12
There are most certainly better phones that have better cameras because of that, but they also cost more
11:20
So if you want cameras then probably things like Samsung is a go-to phone for you
11:25
And yeah, Samsung will be obviously more expensive than this but also have better cameras
11:31
Now that being said, if you found it's very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
