Welcome
0:02
And this is a Xiaomi or Redemy 7 and today I'll show you a couple of tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:11
So we're going to begin with one that is I guess the most useful in my opinion, which is a split screen
0:16
And it will allow you to use two different apps at the same time
0:20
And the way you launch it is number one open up some kind of app
0:24
So open, I'm not really sure if it's going to work with those two
0:29
So, right here. And what you want to do is grab the app and drag it
0:40
But, yep, there we go. So this one is compatible. The contacts is not
0:45
But as you can see, it adds one app on top right there
0:49
You can click the home button and choose a different app that you wish to open
0:55
So I could open up, for instance, my browser. my browser and could use two different apps. Now the best use in my opinion for this is to
1:07
just exit this. When you're using YouTube for instance, right? As you all know, when you're
1:13
trying to multitask with YouTube and you leave it, it basically pauses the music. Now this will
1:18
allow you to continue to have the music. Oops, play. Connect to network. There we go. So this will allow you to
1:27
you to have the music continue to play while not actually pausing it when you're not in the app
1:35
So let it just load. So let me just open some kind of video
2:02
It's more much. Okay, the sound is off. So as you all know, if I click the home button, it pauses it
2:10
Now what you can do now is you stop on the split screen, grab YouTube, drag it up here, click play
2:17
and also click home, and then, for instance, open up your web browser like so
2:23
skip the ad can resize this a bit as you can see continues to play while I'm using
2:31
some something different so it's a neat way to just listen to music and just
2:38
multitask in general let me just close this now now now moving on on a show
2:48
is the developer options and in there as the option to shorten the animations of the device So as you know everything that you do is more animated Whatever you click has this kind of like different animations of zooming in out
3:04
minimizing, and stuff like that. So if you want to shorten it or completely remove the animations
3:11
you actually can, even though there is no settings actually like if you would
3:15
search for it in the settings. So what you want to do is go into
3:21
Where is it? Can I be right here? I'm not really sure where they..
3:28
info about the devices, so bear with me. Can't Google? Just search about phone, there I go
3:44
And from here, device names, name, system update. Normally it's called build number, but I think right here it's going to be, there's something else
4:01
Nope, not under this. There we go. So, new i. So as you can see, after you top it seven times gives you a message you are now a developer
4:14
Now if you go back, just cancel the search, and search for all
4:20
Developer options right here
4:32
And from here you want to scroll down to, where is it
4:40
Right here. So you have window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animation duration scale
4:46
Now, each one of them corresponds to different animations. So for instance, the animation, uh, window animation scale is this little window that just
4:52
is lit up. And I can set it to times 10 so you get a drastic difference of how it affects it with the speed
4:59
So that's how it's basically times 10. If you set it to off, now it will be just instant
5:05
There is no animation whatsoever. Now the best of both worlds probably would be 0.5
5:10
it will allow you to have animations while drastically reducing the speed of them so you can see they're much snappier but if you prefer to completely get rid of them you can just set it all to off and now as you will see there is apparently there's still some animation but most of the animations for instance like the zooming of application or zooming out minimizing is now completely gone so moving on
5:40
I going to go into the gesture navigation which allows you to just change the buttons to something a little bit more modern like most of the devices now have And to do it you want to go into the settings just again cancel the search so and the settings go into the full
5:58
display it's going to be full-screen display it's going to be right no there is full-screen display
6:17
And from here you have the two options. Now they're kind of like animated
6:22
So what you want to do is just go into the full screen gestures like so
6:27
Now if you're enabled this for the first time and it's going to pop you up with this message to learn the gestures
6:33
Now you can completely skip it if you already are aware of how they work
6:39
I'm going to just touch upon them just so you can see
6:44
You have basically the three different functions. function so learn um first one is swipe from the bottom quickly so that's the close now
6:56
and pause that's recent and then swipe from the edges that's bad button and you can swipe it from
7:03
each side now normally it actually gives you a little animation of how you're supposed to swipe
7:08
not sure why it didn't do it right here but as you can see swipe up closes or swipe up quickly
7:16
it closes it so like so if you swipe up and hold it opens up a recent and then back is just
7:23
your back button yeah so moving on i'm going to touch upon the second space which will allow you
7:34
just to create an additional space on your device so you could divide the device into for instance
7:40
work phone and home phone in a way so all the documents and stuff like that that you need
7:46
for work would be on one space and they want to be accessible on, for instance, this space
7:51
So if I would go into the settings and let's see, again it's going to be easier to search for it
8:05
Second space right here and turn on second space. to work normally you'd actually or for this to work fluidly you would need to set up two
8:24
different patterns um just continue to between set now okay so there it is um second space password okay
8:34
so we need to first set the passcode for the first space so i'm gonna stick with the pattern
8:46
So this is going to be the first space So like so And now this is the
8:54
Okay, there is the second space pattern. So it's going to go like so
9:05
And confirm. And now whichever passcode you use, the pattern, it will access to different spaces
9:12
So you can also add a fingerprint so you could theoretically use, for instance, your index finger
9:18
as a first space and then your, well, let's say right hand index finger as a first space
9:24
and then second space your left hand index finger. Now it doesn't really matter how you set it up, as long as you remember which pattern and
9:35
fingerprint or whatever it's associated with what space. Now I'm going to skip this just to preserve on time
9:44
As you can see, we're right now in the second space. Now forward to lock the device
9:52
This pattern will access second space, which has all of its independent files, while drawing
9:59
this pattern will access the first space, which again has also independent files
10:04
All the settings wallpapers will be different between spaces, files, downloaded images
10:08
Anything that you have changed on each will basically act like a completely separate phone
10:13
So it's a, like I said, a handy feature to just have it to kind of like separate specific
10:20
I guess work spaces from each other. And the last thing that I want to show is just a simple one
10:28
If you want to record some kind of screen, whatever you're doing, you have an option in
10:34
the pull down many. So you go in here and we'll find this button right here, screen recording
10:42
So once you tap on it, then we'll start counting down. Actually it's immediate
10:46
And whatever you do now will basically be recorded so you can give someone a guide or just record
10:52
whatever you want, whatever you're doing on the display. And once you're done, you stop on the X-12 square right here to stop it
11:01
It gets saved as you can see right here. Stop on allow
11:05
And now I can play it back. as you can see this is the recording
11:14
just a simple way but allows you to just record something
11:24
if you want to show someone or just posted something so that is basically all the tweaks and tricks that I know share
11:33
and if you found them helpful if I forget to hit like subscribe and thanks for
