Welcome, Enfonom is a OnePlus 7 team and today I will show you a couple tweaks and
0:10
tricks that I can do on this device. So we're gonna begin with the fingerprint
0:13
animation which will allow you to change the animation whenever you put your
0:18
finger to the display. So I'll lock it just to show it. You can see this little
0:23
like circular animation. Now this is different than it's normally. And to set
0:28
it up all you need to do is go into the settings, then security and lock screen
0:32
fingerprint, confirm your fingerprint or pattern. And once you're in there you
0:38
will have fingerprint animation effect. And you have a couple to choose from. It
0:43
looks like four different ones so you have basically none. The one that I was
0:47
showcasing. Then you have the ripple effect and cosmos is the default one. And
0:54
whatever you select all you need to do is then just check mark right here. And
0:58
if I lock the device now and press it you can see that now there's a ripple
1:04
effect animation. So that is how you would change it. And it's just a cosmetic
1:08
change. It doesn't really do anything apart from that. Now the second thing I
1:13
will want to show is the RAM boost and what it does is helps apps or well helps
1:21
the device perform better in a way by learning how you use it. So as an
1:25
example if you use specific apps or apps multiple doesn't really matter. At
1:32
specific time in a day the device will learn that time and then prioritize
1:37
additional RAM to it so that the apps that you will want to launch will be
1:41
already ready to be launched and already good to go. While also the apps that for
1:46
instance you don't use at that time will lose the priority and will be kind
1:51
of set in the background with as little resources used as possible. So the
1:58
device can prioritize also the battery life considering you won't be using that
2:02
app at this moment. And the device basically learns how you will use the
2:06
device and what apps you use and when you use them. And also if you launch that
2:13
want some app like that you wouldn't normally launch don't worry it will
2:17
still work. It just won't be as ready for instance as the apps that you would
2:22
normally launch on a daily basis that device has learned. Those apps will be
2:26
basically pre-rendered for you and ready to go. And to get it working all you need
2:32
to do is just go into the settings then all the way down to system and you have RAM boost and then enable it right here. So that's another one. Now next one that I
2:42
want to showcase is the refresh rate of the display. Now by default it's set to
2:47
90. What it well if you're not really familiar what it does is 90 frames is
2:54
just more more frames on the display per second. So by default every normal phone
3:00
has about 60 frames per second. So when you're scrolling through something you
3:06
will see only 60 frames from animation A to B and if you have 90 well then you
3:13
have basically that 30 frames more additionally to what you would normally
3:19
get. Now also that makes the animations look way smoother as it looks on the
3:26
device but also uses a little bit more battery. So you might not want to use it
3:31
because for instance you might not really see a difference in it between 60
3:35
and 90 so you probably would want to have more of a battery saving than the
3:41
smoothness. And there is an option for that so you'd go into the display and
3:45
then you'll find a screen refresh rate right here and set it to 60. As you can
3:52
see that's smooth with better battery life and probably won't be very visible
3:59
on this on the camera considering the camera is already recording at 60 frames
4:03
so it wasn't able to capture the previous smoothness of this but there is
4:08
a slight difference at least for me it doesn't glide as smoothly as it was
4:13
before it was just battery smooth with that 90. But like I said you have an
4:19
option if you want to prioritize battery life over the smoothness. Now moving on
4:25
we're gonna go into the status bar and the option to remove basically all the
4:29
icons from there so when you have additional things enabled so I can
4:35
enable do not disturb mode. What else is there? Maybe battery? Let's turn that on and see
4:43
Hotspot I think will also show. So you can see that it's a little bit cluttered
4:48
at the moment so you have the battery, Wi-Fi reception, it's got Wi-Fi to it. Do not
4:56
disturb mode, NFC and all that clutter. And if you're a normal person you
5:01
probably know what you have enabled and what is disabled and like I think
5:08
majority of the people have Wi-Fi and mobile data enabled by default and they
5:12
probably don't even disable it. Same goes for NFC so if you want to have a little
5:18
bit of a cleaner look on your home screen and overall everywhere you can
5:22
basically toggle those icons off while keeping whatever they're doing still on
5:27
So let's actually go into the settings and I'll showcase it further from there
5:32
So you'd go into the settings and then we're gonna go into the status bar
5:39
wherever it is. Let me just search it, I think it's gonna be easier. Status bar right here, so it was
5:52
under the display. Let's go in here and then tap on icon manager and here you
5:58
have all the things that you can toggle on and off. So as you can see there is
6:01
the icon for NFC, toggle it off, it's gone. And NFC is still enabled and you can
6:07
enable and disable it. It just won't be showing up in your status bar. You can
6:13
toggle this off, Wi-Fi, volume, do not disturb mode, Bluetooth, hotspot and you
6:19
can see every time I toggle it I just each one of them starts to just
6:23
disappear. Now there's I guess some things that you cannot toggle off like battery
6:30
it looks like and your mobile network but you have the option to toggle most
6:38
of the the clatter that you would normally have off which is a fairly nice
6:42
thing to have. You can see even though everything is still enabled it's not
6:48
showing up up there anymore. So the last thing I wanted to show is the video
6:53
enhancer and it kind of does what it says it does, just enhances the video. So
7:00
let's go into the settings and then display and from the display it's right
7:06
here and you will have this little line that just slides through and shows you
7:11
how it affects videos. So it looks like it just adds a little bit more saturation
7:16
and contrast to make the image a little bit more colorful and make it look a
7:21
little bit more like it's popping. And you can just enable it and then by
7:26
default any kind of video will be affected by this saturation boost and
7:31
contrast. Or actually it doesn't even look like it adds contrast. But yeah you can
7:38
see primarily the difference when it kind of like disables it. The image seems
7:42
a little bit grayish and washed out while here it looks really colorful. So
7:47
it's more of a personal preference. But yes this would conclude all the tweaks
7:55
and tricks that I wanted to share and if you found any of them helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
