Welcome
0:05
And for the name is a Ullo phone power through ES. And today I'll show a couple tweaks and tricks that we can do on this device
0:11
So starting off, we're going to go into the message that is popping up on Facebook apparently
0:17
to like the page. No thanks. Let's just get rid of that from the background
0:22
And begin by going into our settings and display to configure the saturation and contrast
0:28
of the display. So it's going to be under the mirror vision
0:33
When you top right over here you'll have the picture mode which by default is set to standard but you can change it to vivid
0:39
which you can see on the video slight difference. Let's see if I can make it brighter
0:46
So you can see a difference between the color so that vivid are a little bit more saturated
0:55
Now which one you prefer more is just complete preference if you like the
0:59
standard one more, then go right ahead. If you prefer the vivid one, also go right ahead
1:05
And also another thing that you can find here is the dynamic contrast. So we can go right in here
1:11
And when you enable it, you can see the automatic difference that it makes in the image
1:16
That's how it looks like when it's enabled. And that's how it looks like when it's disabled
1:19
Now the image looks a little bit greater when it's disabled, like it has a bit of a gray film over it
1:26
So with the dynamic contrast, the image looks... better in my opinion. I'll just keep that on. So that will be the first one. Now moving
1:37
on the next thing that I wanted to show is the U.I, the status barr U.I that you can control
1:44
So by default as you see you have a bunch of clutter up there and the more you turn on
1:48
like Wi-Fi's if I actually connect to one, let's see Wi-Fi Bluetooth, it's enabled
1:55
to not disturb mode. Let's enable that. So the more you enable, the more trash you will have up in here
2:04
And you can actually hide all those toggles even though they would be still enabled
2:08
They would not show up up here. And to do this where you have the gear icon for settings instead of tapping on it to go to settings you can hold it and it will start spinning So I just positioned the phone to the side so you can actually see
2:22
Oops, try that again. You can see a spin right now and once I let go, it gives it a message, congrats
2:31
System UI Tuner has been enabled. So from here and the settings, you can scroll all the way down and you'll have this option right here
2:38
System UI Tuner. Top on Got it. go to status bar and here we have everything that we can basically turn off from
2:46
showing up in the status bar so we can not disturb mode boom gun Wi-Fi
2:53
internet what else is there Bluetooth is anything else that I can get rid of here
3:03
sell your even you can hide the battery icon if you want to time
3:11
So we can get rid of a lot of things now. Wi-Fi, I believe, would disappear once you connect to Wi-Fi
3:19
because as you can see right now, it's turned off, but it's still showing. So I believe when you connect Wi-Fi, it will actually just go away
3:26
Okay, so what was the next thing. Now moving on, we're going to go into the scheduled power on and off
3:33
and again you can find that setting in the settings. And it's almost all the way to the bottom, right below
3:41
system UI tuner and when you top on it you have the power on and off so you want to set it
3:48
just a couple ways you can set it up number one if you want to preserve battery you can set it to
3:52
turn off every single night for instance and turn back on in the morning or if you want to use it the
3:58
way I would be using it which is just once a week for purposes to clear cache then you would
4:06
go start the time I would probably turn it off at around
4:11
Let's see 11, let's make it 1140. Every day and let's change it only to
4:21
let's go to Saturday, done and so turn off should be a little bit before that time So let go 1135 and again Saturday
4:40
There we go and done. And what this will do is just once a week the device will turn off
4:47
for just a five minute. That's all it needs. It just needs a reboot
4:51
So this will be completely automatic in a way, clearing cash, helping the device perform better
4:57
and just overly improving the longevity of the device. Now like I said, you could set it up to be turning off every single day
5:06
for instance like nighttime or whatever time suits you and turning on back when you're going to start using the device
5:15
But this way it would save the battery, but also, for instance, if you want to check the time during night or something like that
5:21
you want to be able because the device would be off. So just keep that in mind
5:25
now from there next thing that on the show is hiding on the password now by default if i go into
5:32
Wi-Fi is a good example for this so wherever you have the option to put in the password this is just the
5:38
fastest way to show it and when you start typing in a password you can always see the latest letter
5:42
i have pressed and in my opinion this isn't very secure it does leave a little bit security
5:49
the kind of intrusion, I would say. So you can actually make this, so whenever you press a letter
5:57
it will automatically become a dot like it does after about a second or so
6:01
And to do that, we're going to go again into the settings, and under security, you'll find the option called make password visible
6:09
Now it's basically set on by default and probably should be called something else
6:15
like make password invisible or something like that, to be easier to find
6:22
But now, once it's off, we can go back here and again start typing a password and you can see that there is no more letter
6:29
visible in here. Automatically becomes a dot so you can't really gather it
6:37
So that was another one. And moving on to the last thing
6:43
which I wanted to show is a QR scanner which is right here Now it looks like it in the settings and I didn really see any app for it A certain majority of the devices do have those but they always in like weird places and it kind of hard to find
7:01
So in here it's in the settings like I said at the bottom, where was it
7:09
Actually not at the bottom somewhere in the middle. So right here and this is a
7:14
handy future to have if you have some kind of QR codes then you can read what they're
7:22
going to link you to or stuff like that and for instance here I have my phone let me just
7:27
open up Wi-Fi for instance my phone has the option to when I not really sure
7:36
where it opened in the background so this regard that so for instance my phone has the
7:41
option that when I press on a password or not a password but a Wi-Fi that I have. It will show a QR so you can see it right over here, a QR and there
7:51
I could just simply take the phone, scan the QR code and it would automatically give me the option
7:58
to connect it without providing any kind of password. It would just scan it, recognize what the
8:04
Wi-Fi is, what the password for it is, and automatically give you the option to connect to it
8:08
so you wouldn't have to do anything. And it's also a good option. For instance, if you want to share
8:14
your password with someone but you don't or enough password by Wi-Fi but you don't
8:18
actually want to give them your password so one way would be to either show them the
8:23
QR code which is way faster and simpler or the ad one is to put the Wi-Fi
8:28
password to yourself into someone else's device but so it doesn't limit only to the
8:34
Wi-Fi it basically wherever you see this kind of square looking image like
8:41
this one under my finger that is a QR code that can be read it usually has some kind of info behind it like a Rickroll
8:48
or just some kind of info or a link to a website so yeah and this would conclude all
8:56
the tweaks and tricks that on the show so if you found any of them helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe and thanks for watching
