Welcome

With me is a Nokia XR20 and today I will go over unboxing along with a quick overview
0:13
of this phone. So just pop it straight open. There's nothing at the top of the case
0:20
Then we got the phone itself. Well, that's a... that's a big... that's a big phone
0:26
I wasn't actually expecting this to be such a chunkers. But anyway, let's move on
0:32
In here we got some paperwork. Obviously it came in this, but I already did take it off
0:38
So I'm just gonna heat it up to the side. Some paperwork
0:42
No one really cares about that. And then we got in here a nice message
0:49
Yeah, and no wall charger in the box. Umm... I have a problem with this one
0:59
Considering this is a budget device with not really so budget price
1:07
And they didn't even include a charger. Now that takes some actual balls, to be honest
1:13
There's a reason why people probably stopped buying these Nokia phones, primarily
1:18
And let's be honest, usually they were priced a little bit more adequately
1:22
But this one is actually priced fairly not adequately to the phone itself
1:28
And additionally, they didn't even bother including a charger in there. Umm..
1:33
I have a problem with that, to be honest. But yeah, anyway, let's move on
1:37
So we got a Type-C charger. At least that's nice. I wouldn't be surprised if they also included a micro USB
1:43
But it's not, so at least thumbs up here. So anyway, let's get to the phone
1:52
This almost seems like a rugged device. It is a fairly hefty one
2:01
It has some kind of rubberized surface. It is really weird, to be honest
2:07
But anyway. So let's move into the specs. So... This comes with a 6.67-inch display
2:15
1080p by T400. It's an LCD IPS display. Let me quickly find English
2:21
There we go. LCD IPS, 76.8% screen-to-body ratio. As you can see, you do have fairly chunky bezels
2:30
And they don't look as ludicrous as they do on camera. Because the camera is a little bit zoomed out
2:36
But yeah, I'm gonna just bring my phone in here. Which I used to consider to be a fairly big device
2:44
Yeah, the Nokia dwarfs it almost. And additionally, let me just unlock it
2:53
Max out the brightness, just so it looks a little bit better. But you can see, just a bezel comparison
2:58
My bezels are going up to here, from the chin. These ones are way bigger, like twice as big
3:04
And just the size of my notch, because there is a notch, unfortunately
3:09
is the size of this entire bezel right here. So yeah. And additionally, the sides basically have no bezel
3:16
Because they are curved. But that's just the design. So obviously, this phone is huge
3:23
but yet it didn't really remove any kind of bezels. They are here
3:29
So anyway, I'm gonna move past this. The bezels are hideous. Now, when it comes down to screen-to-body ratio
3:38
it's 395. And the screen up front is a Gorilla Glass Victus as a protection
3:45
So, honestly, the screen itself seems to be fine. There is no high refresh rate
3:51
which, again, at this price range, which is about 500 euros, this is not very acceptable, I would say
3:57
You either include an AMOLED for that price, or high refresh rate, one or the other
4:03
Basically, any kind of other mid-range device can do this. Don't see a reason why this couldn't
4:11
So yeah, now let's max out the brightness. There we go, which apparently peaks at about 550 nits
4:18
so again, not the brightest phone as well. So, once we got the screen out of the way
4:25
we can now move on to the back, which is the camera. So you can see we have a dual camera setup
4:30
One is a 48-megapixel wide sensor, and then the other one is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide
4:36
Obviously, we have a Zeiss marking on here. It honestly looks like nowadays almost every phone has Zeiss cameras
4:42
because there is Sony, there is Vivo, which additionally I have one right here still boxed
4:48
and again, Zeiss. So yeah, it seems like Zeiss is just putting their branding on literally anything
4:58
But yeah. And when it comes down to shooting with those cameras
5:03
apparently we can shoot videos at 1080p, 30 frames. Again, for that price, this is just absolutely a joke
5:11
And if we flip over to the front, we have a hole-punched camera, as you can barely see
5:17
because the brightness of this device is so great. This is a 8-megapixel wide sensor
5:25
1080p, 30 frames again. It's nice to know that your 48-megapixel camera on a 500-euro phone
5:32
can shoot the same frame rate videos as the back one. From Zeiss
5:39
So yeah. Honestly, at the moment, I don't really have much positive things to say about this device
5:47
So let's move on. It comes with a Snapdragon 480. At least it's a 5G chipset
5:55
Again, for that price, I would have been expecting something way better. But I guess I would be wrong to expect more
6:03
Then moving on to the storage. That's where the first win here comes in
6:08
I can actually find a little pen-to-object tray, wherever it is. So let's just find it
6:14
Oh, it's at the top. So, we do have an SD card expansion slot
6:22
So, the phone does come with 64 or 128 GB storage. Now, depending on how much RAM you will want
6:29
you will have to go for either one or the other. Because a 64 comes with 4 GB, while the 128 comes with 6
6:37
Now, if you want more than 4 GB of RAM, you are literally forced to go for the higher model
6:42
Not the coolest move here, but still nice that you have the choice
6:48
Additionally, you can expand the storage even further using the SD card, if you only care about the storage
6:53
So, at least that's nice. Honestly, I would have expected it to not have an expandable storage at this point
7:04
Now, moving on, we do also have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, right here on the power key
7:09
as a lot of phones nowadays kind of do this at a mid-range price
7:14
So, yeah, we don't have an under-display one. Side-mounted is OK, they work really well
7:19
They are really quick and reliable, so at least that's a really good thing here
7:24
Additionally, even though this phone is an absolute unit, this thing is barely pocketable
7:32
If you can imagine a woman walking with those tiny pockets with this thing in
7:36
it's like a suitcase almost. So, yeah, this thing feels weird in the hand
7:42
I feel like I'm holding a tablet, basically. So, contrary to the size of this
7:48
we have a CUNY 4630 mAh battery. What? OK then
8:02
I have literally no words for this battery here. There should be above 5000 mAh in here, at least
8:09
But no, we get a 4600 mAh one. Great. Anyway, when it comes to charging
8:17
we can charge it at 18W through the brick. Not outstanding, so you might as well use the reverse wireless charging
8:25
which apparently it has. So let me just whip out a little Qi charger right here
8:31
and see if it charges. Hello? Oh, there we go
8:41
So it is charging. And the benefit of the Qi charging right here is
8:46
it charges at 15W. It charges a couple of watts slower than the brick, which..
8:54
I have no idea why they did it like this. Honestly, I like Qi charging
9:00
but I like this to be an addition, not a substitution. Usually, in the case of, like
9:08
when I take into consideration my phone, which I have been using for, like, two years now
9:12
on here, I believe I have, like, 40 or 30-something watts just charging through the cable
9:19
This is amazing. When it comes down to topping off your phone really quickly
9:23
it is just amazing. You plug it in for, like, 10 minutes
9:28
and you have half a battery. It is insane how quick it charges
9:32
with their, like, super fast charging thingy-thing, but on here, don't expect that
9:36
You have 18W, so... you will be charging this phone a little bit
9:42
And like I mentioned before, it comes at a price range of around..
9:46
a little bit, honestly, a little bit below the 500 euros. It's exactly... 470
9:54
It doesn't really make much of a difference, in my opinion, considering this device is
10:00
way overpriced. It's an absolute brick when it comes down in size
10:04
It has huge bezels. The screen isn't anything special. It's just an IPS display
10:10
without even any high refresh rate. The design on here is laughable
10:14
The battery size for this size of the device is, again, just an absolute joke
10:18
The charging through a cable is nonexistent, and the only benefit is that the wireless charging here
10:24
is actually decent. Additionally, we do have a fingerprint-mounted or side-mounted sensor right here, so..
10:32
I would prefer it under the display, but I'm not expecting much
10:36
so side-mounted is OK, especially that they work fairly reliably. But... Yeah, that's primarily the only positive
10:44
things to say about this device. Honestly, I have nothing more to say
10:50
other than go with Xiaomi. That's the only thing I can say
10:56
This phone is so overpriced and brings so little to the table
11:00
that I cannot justify anybody buying this device. Just go with something like Xiaomi, which will
11:06
outperform this phone in every single way. Display, battery, processor, charging speeds
11:14
features, just price. Literally everything. There's nothing that Xiaomi won't be better
11:20
at this price range than this phone. If you go with something that costs about €500
11:24
you're getting a phone that comes with, like, one of the best processors
11:30
Not some mid-range 480. So, yeah. Do not buy this phone. That's basically the gist of it
11:38
