Welcome
0:06
And from me I have the super brand new iPad Mini. So this is the 2021
0:14
And today I will go over unboxing along with an overview of this device
0:19
Obviously you can see at the back this is the 64 gigabyte version, 6 generation Wi-Fi and Cellier, so both of those
0:26
And yeah let's just get straight to it. Now one thing that I point out I really like Apple doing this
0:31
This is also ironically their latest innovation that they have done in basically all their devices
0:38
and it's in terms of opening a package, which kind of makes the entire Apple device lineup questionable, in my opinion
0:48
But anyway, I just pop it open. So nothing really holding the box in here
0:55
So what is it? There we go. So nothing at the top of the box
1:03
Then in here, get obviously the tablet right away. Gonna set it to the side for now
1:11
Get some booklet. Honestly, no one cares about this. No one reads the instructions
1:17
We all know how to use our devices. Then... No way. No way! We actually get a charge
1:25
and it's a type C. Whoa, that is... Is it actually made by Apple
1:32
It looks like it. No way. Okay, so we get a charger
1:37
Now let's see how good it is. So if I can actually, writing is always so obnoxious
1:43
in terms of colors. You can see we have grey on grey basically, just a darker grey text
1:48
which makes it almost literally impossible. Oh, I know it is impossible to see
1:53
but they didn't make it. Kind of easy for you to see it, there we go
2:01
Can the camera even catch this? It's basically a 20 watt bottle, for goodness sake I cannot get the camera to actually show
2:12
you the super crappy design text right here because it's gray on gray
2:21
So anyway, just drop that. Here we get a Type C to..
2:25
Whoa, another thing. Type C. No, wow. That is something. So we get Type C charging on this device
2:35
Something that iPhones here didn't get for some reason. So that is actually coming out to be a surprising little discovery here
2:46
I am going into this blind as you can probably see. So yeah
2:51
Let's get this out of the little packaging. just turn it on
2:56
and is that a fingerprint sensor at the top this might be a fingerprint sensor
3:03
which again would be just would blow me away so anyway all this is turning on I'm going to quickly go into the
3:13
specs of it the display at the beginning hello now I do have to say I really like this kind of
3:21
introduction it looks really nice neat a little bit refreshed and just a little bit better in my opinion
3:27
So yeah. And obviously you can get to right off the bat
3:30
You see the display and it is a quite nice display On the camera a camera doesn do its justice to be honest In person it looks really nice So anyway let keep on going with this So it a liquid retina IPS LCD display
3:47
Now, it looks way better than actually on paper it says because technically it's just an IPS display
3:54
But it is, in my opinion, nice. It has a peak brightness of 500 nets
3:59
I'm going to quickly connect to Wi-Fi. There we go. So peak brightness of 500 nits, or this is the typical one, my bad
4:13
The typical of 500 nits. It doesn't show the peak brightness. We have an 8.3 inch display
4:19
It's a 77.4% screen to body ratio with a 1488 by 2266 pixels, which puts it at 327 pixels per inch
4:32
kind of leaves it lacking to be honest but to be fair I don't I don't really see any kind
4:38
of pixelations so yeah now obviously people might have a better eyesight than I do
4:44
and they might see pixelations on here the 370 is a little bit towards the lower
4:50
side but it's still almost up there with like the typical typical pixel density
4:57
of every display and yeah that is actually a thing fingerprint sensor on here which nice that I props finally that is one of the problems
5:11
I have with things like the iPhone right here the 13 it includes the goddamn
5:17
little nut right here has enough space to cram anywhere under the display or on a
5:23
side a fingerprint sensor especially with this huge button but they just don't
5:29
there's a lot of problems which I have with the iPhone But this seems to be kind of solving a majority of them
5:36
No notch. A fingerprint sensor on the power key. I'm okay with them
5:42
I would prefer it under the display, but hell, I will take it anywhere
5:46
Even at the back if I would have to. And we have a Type C
5:50
So obviously this device already has way more advantage than I would have expected it
5:55
I am going into this blind and it is actually positively surprising me right now
6:02
Actually, you know what? I'm actually going to set it up just to see how quick it is. So..
6:08
And there we go. And I need to get more
6:24
And there we go. That's also nice. nice so basically퍼s the fact that you might flip the device so you won't be
6:35
using your right hand then tells you to add another finger which would make it your
6:39
left hand. So let's continue
6:54
There we go. So let's flip it back so I can actually see the
7:00
passcode, ESUs anyway. And there we go So I test out the display which is better than it says on paper at least in terms of the quality to me
7:32
It has a nice color to it. It looks fairly nice. On paper, it's just an LCD display, to be honest
7:39
it looks better than it should be, basically. It's kind of what I'm getting at
7:46
So we can now touch upon different things like the cameras. So in here we have just a single camera at the back
7:52
and a single camera at the front. If I flip it, you can see it right here
7:57
So this is a 12 megapixel at the back and also 12 megapixel at the front
8:01
Now both of them, or not actually not both of them, the selfie one is an ultra-wide
8:05
where the back one is a wide sensor. which is a little bit of a weird, weird thing to have
8:13
So let me just quickly check it out. Where's the camera? FaceTime. No, not what I'm looking for
8:25
Oh, there we go, camera. So just to put that out there, the 12 megapixel wide
8:31
is probably going to be similar to what iPhone, the typical iPhones right there 13 have
8:38
because they also have 12 megapixel, they just have wide and ultra white at the back
8:48
Let's check it out. I'm kind of curious about this, considering this is technically a tablet
8:52
Usually tablets don't have any kind of great cameras, but to be fair, this one looks okay
8:58
It keeps the detail. It is a little bit darker than the actual environment is here, so that's one thing
9:05
if I max it out. So yeah, it looks good, especially for a tablet
9:15
Probably including my ugly mug isn't the greatest idea, but... So there is my ugly mug, and..
9:31
So there is my ugly mug, and... And again, it comes out okay
9:42
I don't have any kind of problems with this. It's a little bit grainy, but obviously it's..
9:49
It has the disadvantage of taking a photo of me where I'm kind of in the shadow
9:54
and majority of the light is, well, around here. So just keep that in mind
10:00
But anyway, let's move on to the internals of it. So this again is kind of where it follows just the iPhone releases
10:09
So it has the A15 chip set. Right here we have a couple different versions of storage
10:15
And couple, I mean literally couple. We have the 64 and 256. It's a little bit of a weird, weird a jump from 64 to 256
10:24
There is like missing a 120, 28-gibite variant. And obviously because it's Apple, you don't have
10:33
have expendable storage right here so if you need more than 64 you better get
10:39
256 and pay more for it even though the prices are inflated for the storage
10:44
because if you don't you have literally no way of getting more storage at least
10:49
not in an easy way you could always use a dungle plug it in using type C and kind of copy over things but that is not really a convenient way A convenient one would be by having an actual expendable storage in the device
11:06
So that's something that honestly, probably everybody who used Apple before already came to expect
11:12
because it hasn't changed since the beginning of iPhones or Apple itself
11:19
And apart from the storage, we do have 4 gigabytes built-in RAM and that's the only option you have
11:25
It is on a little bit of a lower side to be fair, but Apple does manage their RAM usage fairly well
11:34
so it should be good enough for basically every kind of task. And moving on, we can now touch upon just the specs
11:45
So we do have a built-in battery right here and that is..
11:51
Now, where is it? Actually, I can't find the battery. I have no actual idea what the battery size here is, to be fair
12:01
Now, obviously the charger has a 20 watts, so that's an easy one
12:06
but I can't really see how much, like how big is the battery, so
12:12
That's a little bit of a shame because I can't really get an idea how long this device will last in this case
12:18
Oh well. That's a little bit of a shame, but anyway, I guess I'm gonna just finish it up here
12:26
The device actually did surprise me fairly well. With everything that it packs in, it's basically everything that I want the iPhone to have
12:35
which is a fingerprint sensor, type C port, and well, expendable storage would be nice, but hell, we can't have all
12:43
Now obviously there's one more thing that this device can do, which isn't really traded in touch upon
12:49
which is the Apple Pencil support, but the pencil does not come included with it
12:53
so you need to fork out another $100 for it. So if that is something that you want to use this device for
12:59
yeah, $100 more. And additionally, the display right here isn't anything like high refresh rate
13:04
It's just a typical 60 hertz, so again for some kind of like high frame rate
13:13
this device will not deliver anything above 60. So that's a little bit of a downside
13:19
Also, the device itself is really nice. It is honestly a really nice size too
13:24
It is mini. And to be fair, that's kind of as big as I would want my tablet to be
13:30
It has everything in a fairly reachable position. You can kind of just hold it, have basically access to everything easily
13:40
And it still comes with all the tablet kind of features that you are used to along with
13:44
the pen support, which is just really nice. So yeah, finishing this off, this device is actually good
13:55
I can't believe I'm actually saying this because I tend to not like what Apple does with
14:02
any of their devices, but hell, this is good. So yeah, if you're looking for some kind of tablet, small or big, I can probably recommend this
14:17
So yeah. Anyway, this being said, if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe
