Welcome, Erfan Amice, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and today I will show you how to
0:09
transfer files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa. So to get started you
0:15
want to open up the file manager app which is this yellow folder right here
0:19
and from here tap on again the folder icon right here. I will take you to the
0:25
internal storage so you can see all of your internal storage meaning
0:29
the device's standalone memory. So here you have all your DCIM folder which
0:35
contains all your photos and videos that you have captured with the device. They
0:39
have the download folder, music videos, pictures which has screenshots and stuff
0:44
like that. Now I'm gonna be transferring photos so I'll check if they're
0:48
actually here or on the other DCIM but they're over here. So in other cases you
0:55
can also find a DCIM folder in the SD card as you can see one over here. So let's
0:58
tap on the drop-down menu and you can see that there is also an SD card which
1:02
is empty. The DCIM folder is empty. So I'll be moving it from the
1:11
internal storage to the SD card. So just find whatever you're looking for and
1:19
once you tap on it you can see that there are little yellow circles that
1:23
you can tap to select like so. So select whatever you want you can also select
1:30
all of them by tapping on this check mark right here as you see or you can
1:35
also check the entire folder right here so you just hold it like so till it
1:40
appears with the check mark. You can also feel it that the phone vibrates when it checks it. So once it's selected either the files themselves or the entire
1:49
folder whichever one you chose you have a couple options you can either move and
1:53
tap on more and there's also copy option. Now which one you choose is
1:58
completely up to you so you can either copy it or cut it or move it. Moving it
2:04
will remove it from where it is right now so for me if I choose move and I
2:08
move it to SD card it will be removed from the phone itself and moved to the
2:12
SD card so this place will be completely empty. If I choose copy it will create an
2:19
additional copy of it while keeping the original files where they are and adding
2:23
additional ones to the SD card where I will paste it in. So like I said
2:27
whichever one you want to choose then select that specific option. I'm gonna
2:32
choose move so tap on move and it shows you up this menu right here
2:39
where you have select folder so because the files that I chose are already on the
2:43
internal storage I'm gonna select SD card. So let's just tap on SD card and
2:49
here you have all the content of the SD card along with the DCIM folder which
2:53
as you remember was empty. So from here I can tap on paste which is right here
2:59
the first button on the left. Tap on the paste it begins the process and there we
3:04
go there is the camera folder now where previously it was empty and also all the
3:08
files are in here as well. And if I go back to the internal storage which I
3:16
am right now and I go back to the DCIM folder you'll see that this one is now
3:20
empty because of the choice that I have chosen the move option. And the same
3:27
process works for any kind of other files you'll do the same thing if it's
3:31
music or pictures whatever it is you do it always the same way. And that is how
3:36
you remove files. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe and thanks for watching
