Welcome, and for now I'm using a TCL 20SE and today I'll show you how to transfer files
0:12
from your phone to an SD card and vice versa. And to get started, we'll need to open up some kind of file explorer app
0:19
Let's see what's it exactly called. So in here it's file manager
0:24
And once you find it, simply tap on it to open it up
0:27
Allow access and get rid of this. And as you can see, we have the two storages right at the bottom
0:32
So internal storage, which is judging by the icon, the storage of the phone itself
0:38
And then below that we do have the SD card. So I will start with the phone storage
0:46
That's where I believe my files are that we'll be using as an example for this
0:51
So before I find them, I will quickly mention a couple of folders that I do consider to
0:56
be of importance to people that might not know where to look for their files
1:01
So we're going to start off with the DCIM folder, which will contain pictures of videos
1:06
captured with the device. That's where it gets saved. As you can see in here, we also have screen recorder
1:12
And that also will mean that screenshots will be in here as well
1:17
And then we have the downloads folder, which will contain anything that you have downloaded
1:21
either to a web browser, email, stuff like that. It all gets saved here
1:25
And then below that we do have a... Nevermind, we don't have a pictures folder
1:31
It's just completely gone here. Oh no, it's right at the top
1:35
And it actually looks like the screenshots are in the pictures folder instead of the DCIM
1:41
So there we go. Those are the, what I would call, three important folders here
1:45
Rest of them usually will be empty, assuming you haven't placed there something yourself
1:51
So once you find your files, which I will be using screenshots as an example for this
1:55
you want to select them. And you do so by simply holding the file. As you can see, it becomes checked on the side right here
2:00
And you can quickly tap on additional ones. You don't need to hold them if you want to select more of them
2:05
You also do have an option to select all of them quickly. Let's see where it is
2:10
So I believe this one, yep. So this will select every file in this directory
2:15
So in the screenshots folder automatically. And you can deselect files that you might not want if you don't want all of them
2:23
Now once you have your files selected, click on the three dots right here
2:27
And this will give you two options, either move or copy. Choose whichever one you want
2:30
I'll go with move. And once you select one of the two options, it brings up options for you where you can
2:37
move those. So you can move it to internal storage, so somewhere else on the phone
2:42
Or you can move it to a completely different storage like the SD card, which is what I
2:46
will pick. Now the SD card, as you can see, has virtually the same folders in here
2:52
The difference is those will be empty. Now I could just drop the files right over here
2:57
Or I could select, for instance, some kind of folder and then drop those files into that
3:02
folder in which I am located at. And once you are in a location where you want to move the files or copy them to, simply
3:09
press this blue button right here. And there we go. As you can see, my pictures have been moved to a music folder on the SD card now
3:17
You can see right here. So that is how you could move any kind of file
3:22
