Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy A6 and today I will show you how to transfer
0:11
files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa. So to get started you want to open up the files app which is called right here My Files
0:22
Tap on it and from here you have the two storages at the bottom, save internal and the SD card
0:27
Now I'm going to transfer photos that I have captured as an example and I believe they
0:31
are on the internal storage. And if you want to transfer photos just like me or videos that I have captured with the
0:38
device they will always be located under the DCIM folder. So you can tap on that and from here you have camera which you can see there is a couple
0:47
of photos, you have also screenshots and then you also have the downloads folder somewhere
0:56
I think I already missed it. No, it is downloads folder right underneath where you will have any kind of image or file
1:03
that you have downloaded from the net using this phone. So to get started you want to number one select the files that you wish to move or copy
1:15
So you do that by just simply holding them and then you can tap on additional ones once
1:19
you see the blue check mark in the circle right there. So as you can see now I can keep checking them on and off
1:27
Now if you have a full folder full of photos you can either for instance select one and
1:32
then you have the button to select all right here or you can also go back and just choose
1:37
the entire folder like so and move the entire folder along with all of its content which
1:44
is the two photos that are in there. And once you have it selected you have the two options either move or copy so choose
1:50
whichever one you want. Keep in mind that move will completely remove these files from where they are right now
1:55
and move it to the new location while copy will just create additional set of the same files
2:01
So I'm going to choose move and then you want to navigate to the new location that you wish
2:06
to move or copy the files to. So for me I'm going to move it to the SD card because the photos right now are in the internal
2:13
storage so in here you can also see that there is a DCIM folder
2:17
If I go in here it's camera and there's actually four different photos in here already so I'm
2:23
actually going to back out and just place it right here. So move here will create a camera folder as you can see right here and the two photos
2:32
are inside it and if I go back to the internal storage you can see that the camera folder
2:37
is completely gone from here and only the screenshot folder remains. So that is basically how you would move, copy any kind of file and if you found this
