Welcome! In front of me is a Nokia 1.3 and today I'll show you how to go to the setup of the device
0:14
And when you boot it up for the first time you will be presented with the welcoming screen as
0:18
you can see right here. So starting off you want to change probably the language to your
0:23
desired language which for me starts off with Polish so I can either tap right here which
0:27
by default would change it to English or by tapping on a drop down and finding it from the list so
0:35
see like here and from there let's tap on let's go. Then we have a page for the mobile network
0:43
which will just ask you to enter the SIM card. Let's skip this it doesn't really matter we can
0:49
connect to Wi-Fi or completely skip it if you want to. As you can see there is the Wi-Fi connection
0:53
and again we can skip this if we don't want to connect. By skipping the Wi-Fi here
1:01
throughout the setup we'll also lose the ability to for instance get our time and date set
1:06
automatically and also the ability to connect to Google account throughout the setup but
1:11
both of those can be done later on after the setup is complete by going into the settings
1:15
so we don't really lose anything overall. So let's skip it as I said date and time so here I would have to set it manually but if I were connected to Wi-Fi
1:26
it would have been set automatically and this step would have been skipped
1:31
Then we have Google services so we have Google services like location scanning and send user
1:37
and diagnostic data. Now briefly touching upon all three of them location uses your GPS tracking to
1:44
or all three of them location uses your GPS tracking to basically gain or give apps the
1:50
knowledge where you are located so apps for instance like Google Maps can give you an
1:54
accurate route to your destination. Now there's also scanning which allows apps to scan for Wi-Fi
2:01
Bluetooth devices around you and then send you user and diagnostic data. This seems a little
2:07
bit self-explanatory. Google gathers data on how you use the device and basically what you do and
2:11
sends it to itself basically. Now if you don't like these options you can simply disable them
2:17
they can still be enabled later on to the notification panel in terms of for instance
2:22
like location or by going to the settings. So I'm gonna now see it further
2:31
and here we have protection to our device so right here it wants us to set up a face ID basically
2:38
you can skip it or press next. Now if you choose to go next here we can set up something else apart
2:44
from face ID because we need another way of unlocking the device that be a pin pattern or
2:49
password before we are able to set up a face unlock. So by default it goes into a four-digit pin
2:56
but we can also tap on it and the blue text right there to change the screen lock and change it to
3:01
either also pattern or password. I'm gonna go with the pattern so from here let's draw the pattern
3:07
tap next redraw the same pattern to confirm it and it's now completely set
3:14
and now it wants to gain access or doesn't even want to gain access it just accesses the camera
3:20
so if you don't want to add a face to it you can simply go back and skip it. Now this will
3:26
keep the pattern that we have chosen but just not set up a face unlock
3:31
You are nearly ready to go okay so we have by tapping let's go I agree to join the user
3:37
experience program so if you don't want it tap on not now
3:44
and there we go we are now finished with the setup. So if you found this video helpful don't
