And for me is a Nokia G60 and today I'll show you how we can apply tempered
0:06
glass to this phone. I'll be using tempered glass that is designed for a
0:12
different phone but because they're basically the same size or close enough for me
0:18
that's what I will be using for this. You can kind of see it how it fits. So anyway
0:24
obviously in your case you most likely have a tempered glass that is specifically designed
0:29
for your phone and that's great now I am uncertain if in your case this will
0:37
mean that you have a hole punched for your in your glass or if it's just kind of
0:42
like a cutout around the camera or if it just covers it up depending on what
0:47
it does you might want to just go about applying the tempered glass in
0:52
different ways so what I mean by that is I just assume actually I don't think
0:58
I need to assume give me a second and I'll find one that has a cutout. Probably one of these will have it. Let's see, armor seven maybe
1:10
Nope, that's a huge notch. Nope. Nope. There we go
1:24
Found one. So as you can see, in your case, your... your tempered glass might have something like this
1:31
So when applying a glass like this, what I would recommend is starting off with this
1:37
aligning it perfectly with the camera. The easiest way to do it is to actually just have the screen on
1:43
This will allow you to see the actual cutout around the camera and the display pretty easily
1:49
Now, for me, the phone is absolutely completely dead so I can't turn it on. But in any case, you just align it
1:56
and then make sure that the right, right and or left and right side of the top are aligned evenly so basically the distance right here
2:06
is basically the same and from there just place it just a little bit so it sticks from here but you do want to hold it at an angle like I am right now as you can see so this will allow you to also maneuver it a little bit if it not like in a right place
2:25
and also by pinching it like this you can also feel the bezels of the phone which will allow you
2:30
to align the tempered glass correctly with the rest of the display and from there just lower it down
2:35
till it drops and it should just stick to the display obviously this glass is significantly smaller
2:41
so it won't work for me but this one is not so there we go now outside of the glass that comes
2:50
in the packet you should also have this so this is a wet and dry wipe now if you have a microfibre
3:01
cloth that's great use that if you don't then you might need to use these these are atrocious
3:08
They create smudges on the display and they're absolutely pitifully small. So just to show this off, there go
3:22
Now this is also wet wipe which is dry. So let me just kind of show this off
3:28
As you can see it literally leaves no residue which is not normal
3:32
So that's another just kind of hilarious thing. They should be wet
3:38
And just to clarify this, this is supposedly the wet. Let's see if the dry one is wet
3:44
Maybe they just somehow screwed it up. Oh, this one is also dry
3:51
So, you can see nothing. Just to kind of clarify this, I probably have another one
3:58
Just laying on a table. Yep, I have a lot of those. Oh, this one is also dry
4:03
Fantastic. So, yeah, in certain circumstances, you might encounter this. that's normal unfortunately for the most part or maybe like 70 to 80% of the time you will have a
4:16
wet wave that actually is wet wet but obviously that 20 30% you might not so anyway i still recommend
4:24
using a microfiber cloth no matter if your wet wipe is wet or dry just because a clot like this
4:30
is much bigger and easier to wipe the display off with and because the wet wipe even when there are wet I have some like weird solution on them which creates just weird smudges and it just looks hideous
4:43
so I prefer to use something that I know cleans the display pretty nicely there we go
4:50
just make sure there is no smudges whatsoever on the display now you do want to keep the microfibre cloth
4:55
near you just because you might want to later on give it like a gentle pass just to get rid of any kind of dust that might have
5:01
settled. Now dust will be your biggest enemy when applying tempered glass just
5:05
because any kind of speck of dust might create an air bubble which will then
5:10
just kind of make the visible protrusion in a way. But for me it looks like I have no
5:18
dust on display so I'm gonna now do it. So when peeling off you normally start with
5:23
number one. Whatever you peel like I am right now, this is to throw out and that
5:28
we've used a sticky side right here so now align it. Like I said, pinching the display and the glass, I align it correctly in the top
5:40
and sides and then while pinching with my right hand, I'm lowering it down, also like adjusting
5:46
it so it applies itself evenly from left and right side. And there we go. I can see I do
5:54
have a massive air bubble right here, but nothing is under it. There is something here. Massive
6:01
so that's unfortunate now with that being said there is a way you can actually fix it
6:09
if something like this happens so you can grab some tweezers and
6:12
lift it back up just be careful so no dust actually goes under there
6:16
and if you can get it then that's great even if you scratch up
6:23
the actual like tempered glass from the underside it should still glue itself
6:27
correctly so we'll see if that will work for me so normally I
6:31
probably wouldn't recommend this you can probably just like press it down firmly and it
6:36
will for the most part stick okayishly but in certain scenarios I guess you just have no
6:45
choice which for me this is just way too big and it actually looks like it might be part
6:49
of the actual glass so it was screwed from the beginning you can seem to grab it These tweezers are a little bit garbage
7:04
Oh boy, let's see. I'm gonna pose the video, try to grab different tweezers that aren't just bent out of shape like these ones, and hopefully I can get it there
7:27
So I'll be back in just a moment. Yep, nope, that didn't really want to come off
7:38
There's still some trash under there. I couldn't really grab it, which is the problem
7:45
Tweezers were a little bit bummed. I wasn't able to grab the actual like whatever it was. I do want to say though that
7:55
I did try this at one point with just some dust and when you can grab it
8:00
it just kind of just you remove it and it should come up without a problem. From
8:07
there I can just be glue it back in but as you can see for me whatever that
8:11
it was just got stuck to the actual glue on the glass a little bit too well and
8:17
and I cannot get it off. I also think whatever that was
8:24
was on the actual display from the beginning just because how it's
8:29
kind of like really well on there. And obviously I was holding the glass
8:34
upside down so nothing can fly up to it and there was nothing on the display either
8:42
So yeah. I guess just a little bad bad. dry wet pipe and just messed up glass but anyway with that being said if you found
8:53
this messed up application of temper glass fun to watch or informative don't
8:59
forget to hit that like button subscribe and well thanks for watching
