Welcome and follow me as a Oppo A16 and today I will show you how you can hard
0:12
reset the device through settings. So to get started obviously you want to open
0:16
up your settings. From here we will navigate to additional settings which is
0:23
roughly at the bottom and from here you're gonna scroll down to backup and
0:27
reset and select erase all data factory reset. Once you press on this it gives
0:34
you a couple options. We're interested in the last one which is erase all data
0:37
Once pressed it gives you a really quick and vague message this will erase all
0:43
data like the message didn't really imply so. Anyway let's click erase data
0:47
Now we get a little bit of longer message are you sure you want to continue this will erase all data and cannot be undone. Again super vague
0:56
explanation so let me go a little bit more in depth. Normally on newer phones
1:01
or different phones we get a message that this basically removes data and it
1:06
provides which ones. So we have Google accounts, app data, downloaded apps, music
1:11
photos and user data. So this is basically what it will remove which in
1:15
other words it means it removes literally everything from the device. Now
1:20
for things like Google accounts you shouldn't really worry. Same thing goes for apps and app data because all of those things can be regained once the
1:28
device has been fully well reset it and then set up again. So you can relog into
1:34
your Google accounts obviously the accounts stay you just need to log into them. Apps can be redownloaded, app data can be reapplied from the apps that you
1:41
downloaded. The thing that you cannot get are basically everything that was not
1:47
stored on the cloud. So if you keep music, photos and user data locally on the
1:51
storage of the device make a backup copy of it if you want to keep it. If you
1:55
don't then this two minute explanation was kind of useless. But yeah for
2:00
everybody that wants to keep it plug it into your computer, copy all the things
2:04
that you want to keep and from there you can continue. And additionally if you
2:09
keep your music or photos stuff like that on the cloud you don't need to
2:13
backup it's just on the cloud so you just need to relog in again and it
2:17
should be accessible once again. So anyway let's proceed by typing erase
2:21
data. Now this will begin the process which will take probably about like
2:25
three to maybe five minutes or so I'm not exactly sure but we all see here and
2:30
once it's finished we should then be greeted with Android setup screen. So I'll be back once that is actually visible on the screen
2:51
So as you can see the process now finished took about five minutes and now that it is you can set up your device however you like. So anyway if you
