And today I'll show you how we can hard reset this device through recovery mode

Now before I get started I'm just gonna quickly mention this process is primarily used to get rid

of things like screen locks but it also results most likely in a device becoming FRP locked

And what that means is once the reset is finished and you're going through the setup process you

will need to verify either your Google account or the previously used screen lock. But assuming you

have done this to remove a screen lock that only leaves you with a Google account. Now that being

said obviously if you know your Google account you can unlock it using it but if you don't I'll

altogether. Now that was a kind of a shameless plug but nonetheless some people might find it

Anyway now jumping to this device I'm gonna lock it so you can see that I do have a lock screen and

I'll progress from the lock screen as though I don't know it. So number one we're gonna hold our

power button and we're gonna select power off. And when the device turns off you want to hold

your power button and volume up at the same time. When you see the Poco logo which should be

right about now. Any moment there we go. Let go of your power button but keep holding volume up

This will take us into the recovery mode. Now in here using your volume buttons you

want to select the second option which is wipe data so you can press volume down once

confirm it using your power button and select wipe all data. Again confirm that and select confirm

As you can see it only goes to like five seconds. As you can see it only goes to like five percent maybe before it tells you data wipe successfully

So we can now press power button, power button, power button and this will now initiate a reboot

of the device and also continue the factory reset of it in the background. Because it is

continuing the process it's going to take the device a little bit longer to boot back up
