Welcome, in front of me is a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 and today I will show you how you can hard reset this device through recovery mode

Now before I get started, I'm going to quickly mention that this will allow you to get rid of a screen lock if you have one that you just don't know

But unfortunately, if you are also logged into a Google account, which most of you probably are, this will also lock the device

So when you go into the setup, you will be forced to verify one of the two things, either the screen lock or your Google account that is signed in, or was signed into this device before resetting it

So I'm going to deliberately lock my device, so later on I'll also be making a guide on how you can bypass this if you don't know either one of those

Now jumping to this one, I'm going to lock the device and progress from the lock screen as though I don't know my pattern

And number one, you simply want to hold your power button and from there select power off

Now we will need a cable for this, so I have one prepared just right over here

And we're going to plug it in, and once we do, or right before we do, you want to hold volume up and volume down at the same time

So I'm going to, better like this, there we go. I'm going to start pressing both of these volume buttons and plug it in

See if something shows up. It's running on

Ah, there we go. So as you can see it boots us into Recavimor

Now once it's in here we can get rid of the cable

And then using volume keys to navigate as you can see, you want to select wipe data factory reset and then confirm it with power key

I'm going to confirm that, factory data reset. And then at the bottom you'll see formatting data and once it's finished it will automatically select reboot system now

So press power button once again and this will now continue resetting the device and the background

So I'm just going to let it run through and come back once it's finished

And as you can see the process is finished and from here you can set up your device however you want
