Welcome, I'm Filomy, the Motorola Moto G Pure and today I will show you how you can hard reset this device through recovery mode

Now doing so will allow you to remove screen locks, so if you have one set that you just don't remember, this will get rid of it

So as you can see I do have a pattern set here and I'll progress from the lock screen as though I wouldn't know it

So we're going to start off by holding power key and selecting power off

Now once the device turns off you want to hold power key and volume down at the same time

And when you see the Motorola logo on the screen you will let go of the power key

Actually we don't even get to see the Motorola logo, so we just see the boot mode

Now in here using volume keys you want to select recovery mode, it will be visible right here

Like this. Confirm it with power key. When you see this screen, hold power and press volume up once, this will redirect you to recovery mode

Now in here again using volume keys you want to scroll down and select wipe data factory reset

Confirm it with power key, select factory data reset the same way

Give you a message for main data and then data wipe complete, at which point reboot system now will be selected by default

So press power key once again. So I'll now reboot the device and continue the process of resetting it in a background

So it will take it a little bit longer to boot back up than it normally does, so just be patient

Once reset is finished we'll be presented with Android setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible

And as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your phone however you like
