How to Hard Reset LENOVO Tab Extreme Tablet via Recovery Mode - Remove Screen Lock - Erase All Data

Welcome. In front of me is a Lenovo Tab Xtreme, and today I will show you how you can hard reset this device through recovery mode

Now, with that being said, this will also allow you to get rid of a screen lock, so if you have one set on your device that you don't remember, don't know, this will get rid of it

As you can see, I do have a pattern right here, so I'm going to progress with this, with the device being locked like so

Now, we will need a cable that you want to plug into your computer, and simply connect it to your device

Next, we're going to turn off our device, so hold your power button, select power off, and when the device turns off, hold volume up, down, and power button at the same time

I'm holding it right now. Next, once you feel a vibration, there was a vibration, I'm going to let go of the power button, which you can see I'm not holding anymore, and I am still holding volume up and down

This will then display a Lenovo logo. Keep holding volume up and down. After a moment, we should boot into recovery mode

There we go. Once you have this mode visible, obviously you can let go of the buttons

Next, using them again, either up or down, you can navigate to this menu right here

I'm going to press volume down several times until wipe data is selected, at which point I'm going to confirm it using the power button

Let's select factory data reset. Confirm that. At the bottom, you'll see a quick prompt letting you know that it's formatting data, and then the last thing that you should see is data wipe complete

at which point reboot system now will be selected by default, so press power button once again to continue resetting the device

Additionally, you can unplug the device, as the cable was only needed to get us into the recovery mode
