The phone is a ROG Phone 2 and today I will show you how to hard reset the device through

recovery mode. So to get started we'll need to shut off the device

Now once it's off you want to hold power key and volume up, both of the keys at the same time

And from here using volume up you want to select recovery mode

So it's visible up here. As you can see there's a couple other options

So recovery mode and then press power key to confirm it

And from here again using volume keys but this time we can use both of them. You want to select wipe data factory reset

Press power key and here you have to select yes. Now once you do that this will remove all the data from your device and it also removes

a screen lock if you have one that you don't know the password to for instance

So let's select yes and the process begins. Now at this stage it's fairly quick and as you can see data wipe complete

And we can now press power key once more to reboot system now

And now the process will continue in the background. Now it's going to take about a minute and once it's finished we'll be done with it with
