Welcome! In front of me is a Oppo A79 and today I'll show you how you can enable power saving mode on this device
0:10
So to get started you want to pull down your notifications by swiping down from the top of your screen and then swipe down once again to extend the list of toggles
0:18
On one of the pages you should have a power saving mode, though it looks like by default it might not be actually added
0:24
So we will need to add it ourselves by clicking right here on these three dots and then selecting edit tiles and
0:30
finding it somewhere right here. Now, there's two different power modes by the looks of it
0:34
So we have the power saving mode right here and then we have the super power saving mode below that
0:38
I'm gonna add both of them just so I can showcase the more insane power saving mode and you can kind of see how that affects your device because it does affect it in
0:48
more negative way. So anyway, let's start off with the super power saving mode
0:53
Once enabled, as you can see this mode will prioritize battery life and that's one of the things that will be displayed right here
0:58
So battery can last up to 2 days and 18 hours, which is a pretty decent battery
1:05
life. So keep in mind this is basically on full battery. So I am at 96% right now
1:12
To be honest, for how much you sacrifice to have this, this isn't necessarily the best battery life from this mode at this current like charge
1:21
So anyway, to leave this you can click right over here on this exit button
1:26
Exit super power saving mode and to showcase the normal one that probably everyone will be actually using
1:32
we have the right here and when you press on it, it will enable. Now
1:36
it doesn't give us any kind of notification on what it will be changing. So I can only assume that it's gonna be doing the typical things like disabling Wi-Fi and mobile data when the device is not being
1:46
used and also dropping down your refresh rate. These are the most common one
1:50
Now with that being said, when it comes on to the Wi-Fi and mobile data, you might experience that either your notifications are being delayed or
1:57
they're just not being delivered to you at all when you're not using the device. Now if either one of those is the case and that's something that you can't have on your device
2:05
then obviously to solve it, you just need to turn off your power saving mode. And
2:10
alternatively, if you're looking for other options to save your power, there's a couple things you can do to optimize your battery life outside of the power saving mode
2:18
which won't be necessarily the best one on here. So let's go over a couple things that you can change. So number one
2:24
you can turn off things that you're not using like location. If you're using Wi-Fi, turn off your mobile hotspot or mobile
2:31
network and vice versa. So we have location, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. If you're not using, also turn that off and anything that you aren't utilizing right now
2:42
and you don't need, just turn it off. And then the biggest effect on your battery will be the brightness of your display. Now this will only affect it
2:49
while your screen is on. So if you lock the device and not using it, it will have zero effect on it
2:55
But as long as you're using the device, it will greatly increase your battery life by dropping down your brightness. Now on this device
3:01
it's already pretty low right now, but I could probably push it somewhere down to like right here and still use the device without much of a problem
3:10
So the lower you can go, the better battery life you'll get. Obviously having like maxed out brightness
3:17
or anywhere near maxed out will drain your battery significantly quicker. So
3:23
anyway, hopefully that explained a lot, helped you. And if it did, don't forget to smash like, subscribe and thanks for watching
