Welcome, I'm Philomesus Cyrus, CS40, and today I'll show you how to boot a device into factory mode

So, to get started, let's hold the power key and select power off

Now once the device shuts off, which should be right about now, there we go, you wanna

hold the power key and volume down. Once you see the logo, or any kind of logo, on the screen pop up, you want to let go of

the power key. So keep holding volume down

And from here you can let go and wait for it to boot back fully to the factory mode

And now that we're in here, you will use volume down only to navigate through it, as you can

see, and volume up does nothing. And in this mode you can run a majority of the tests to check, for instance, the device

if every component of it is working correctly. Now the two first options are either one of them is a manual testing and the other one

is automatic one. So the automatic goes through all of them at once, or well, not really at once, but

one after another. Well the manual one allows you to pick which part of the phone you want to test

So for instance you could test something like a speaker, it will start making sound and

then you can hear if all the speaker is working. Then you have some other storage checks and just basic information about the device and

logs and also clear eMMC as a reset of the device, so it will remove all the data from

it, kind of like a factory reset. And then you also have at the very bottom a simple reboot

Now whatever you select, I will then need to confirm it with power key to actually accept it

So if I want to leave it, I'm gonna now select the last one and press power key

And now the device will boot back up into the Android. And as you can see, we're now back in Android
