Welcome! In front of me is a Honor 9D Lite and today I'll show you how you can enable your power saving mode on this phone
0:11
So, to get started you will need to pull down your notifications by swiping down from the top of your screen
0:16
Swipe down once again to extend the list of toggles and locate the power saving mode
0:24
Which I don't actually see on here. Okay, so it is between the one of the toggles that are turned off
0:38
So just to kind of go through this, when you pull down your notifications you have this pencil icon and when you press on it, it gives you a list of other toggles that you can add to your list
0:50
So here's our power saving mode. You just want to grab it, drag it over, drop it, select done and now you have it accessible in your toggles panel
1:00
From here we can simply tap on it. Now it does give us a message, so power saving mode, dark mode will be enabled, auto sync and some other features will be turned off, background app activity will be restricted and visual effects will be reduced
1:15
So just to kind of demystify this, because this is just kind of like more of a technical jargon rather than any information for like typical user
1:27
Dark mode, obviously that's pretty self explanatory, just turns on dark mode
1:31
Auto sync basically turns off wifi and mobile data when you're not using the device and because of that you might experience that applications that require internet connection
1:41
aka Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Whatsapp and so on, any kind of application like that, that would give you any kind of messages, notifications like that
1:51
it will most likely either not give you notifications at all, as long as you're not using the device, or give you them in a delayed manner because the device might just reconnect to network every so often
2:03
Now moving further down, background app activities, so basically it will terminate applications in the background a little bit quicker to preserve battery and then visual effects
2:12
aka the screen refresh rate and brightness, so those also will be changed
2:18
So anyway, we can select enable here. So we just dropped a little bit in brightness, turned on dark mode, and we are running now at 60 Hz instead of the, I believe, 120 that this device supports
2:31
So there we go. Now additional things that I mentioned won't be necessarily visible, they are more changes in the background that will affect how the device performs, rather than something that I can see right away
2:44
But anyway, once you're done with this mode and you want to turn it off, just find the toggle once again and tap on it once more to turn it off
2:50
And as you can see, the device switches back to light mode and everything will go back to functioning as it did before
2:58
