Welcome, I'm from the Mesa Vivo V20 SE and today I'll show you how to hard reset the
0:11
device through recovery mode. Now this process does remove a screen lock if you have one that you don't know, but it
0:18
retains basically everything else, so you will need to go additionally through the settings
0:22
and do a factory reset through there if you want to completely remove everything from it
0:28
So before I actually go through the process I will show you the factory reset through
0:32
the settings could be done by going obviously into the settings and scrolling down to system
0:37
reset options and delete all data. So that's where you find it and either you can do it right now if you can access the
0:44
home screen or you can do it after you perform a factory reset through recovery mode, which
0:50
will then grant you access to the home screen if, like I said, if you're locked out of your
0:54
home screen because of some kind of screen lock. So anyway, I'm going to lock the device and you can see I do have a pattern set and I'll
0:59
progress from here as though I don't know mine. And you want to start off by powering off your device, so simply hold the power key
1:08
There we go. Select power off and once the device turns off you want to hold power key and volume up
1:18
So let's do it right now, power volume up. And once you see the Vivo let go of the keys immediately, there is a chance that when you
1:28
do it too slow and you let go of the power key it basically confirms reboot as a input
1:33
for the power key, which basically reboots the device again. So if you see this disappear almost instantly after you let go of the keys, hold them again
1:42
and try to let go of them a little bit quicker. So anyway, from here using volume keys you want to scroll down, so press volume down
1:48
once and then power key to confirm it. And this will take us to the recovery mode
2:01
And in here you want to select clear data by simply clicking on it and then select clear
2:06
all data. Now as you can see, like I mentioned before, clear all data, only phone system data will
2:12
be cleared, music photos and other user data will not be deleted
2:17
So like I said, this retains basically all your personal stuff, so you'll need to go
2:21
through the settings if you want to remove all of those and perform a factory reset through settings
2:27
But anyway, let's select OK. This will quickly go through basically a beginning stage reset, then all you need to do is select
2:38
return, go back and select restart to restart the device and get back to the phone
2:46
Now this will cause the phone to turn for a little bit longer than it normally does
2:51
because it's continuing the process in the background and once it has finished it, you'll
2:55
be then greeted with the Android setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible
3:14
And as you can see, now the process is finished and you can start your device
3:18
And like I mentioned before, if you're planning to remove everything from it, do set it up and then go through the settings
3:23
So anyway, if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks
